This award honors a Penn State Hazleton faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in research, scholarship, or creative accomplishment. All full-time faculty members are eligible to be nominated for the award. Up to one award is made each year. The Penn State Hazleton Faculty Awards Committee will review nominations and select the award recipient based on outstanding achievement in research, scholarship, or creative accomplishment in the nominee's field as indicated by the nomination letters and the nominee's CV.
Nominations may be made by Hazleton faculty members not holding administrative positions and must include the following materials:
1. Nomination Cover Letter detailing the scholarship achievements that deserve recognition.
2. Nominee's Curriculum Vitae.
3. At least two additional Letters of Support from colleagues or collaborators.
The award recipient will be announced at the annual campus Academic Awards ceremony.
Recipients are not eligible to be nominated again for 10 years. Past Recipients: 2013 - Dr. Frank Marko; 2012 - Dr. Mamoun Bader
Nominations are due by February 21, 2014. Support documents should be submitted to the Director of Academic Affairs.
