Our Lady of Mercy School Volunteer Form
We welcome your involvement in school activities and truly appreciate all efforts to assist us during the busy school year. We invite you to take a few moments to fill out the form below if you would like to volunteer at our school. Each parent is invited to complete this form separately. Although you may submit your form at any time, the volunteer contact information will be forwarded to the coordinator for selected activities by August 27, 2012.There will be additional opportunities throughout the year to sign up for specific events/activities as they are added to our school calendar. Thank you in advance for your invaluable service to our students and all associated with our school community.

Our Lady of Mercy School adheres to the policies set forth by the Diocesan Child Protection Program. Please keep in mind that volunteer opportunities require completion of the application, training, and background check required by the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge. (Coordinate ordering and distribution of school supplies.)
Grandparents Day
(Volunteers are needed the day of the event or to send treats.)
Recycled Uniform Sale
(Sort and prepare items for the sale and work during the event.)

(Volunteers help coordinate the service projects within the classrooms.)
Spiritual Life Committee
(Works on special projects developed to enhance the spiritual life of our school families and Parent Partner Program.)

(Volunteers help during the health screenings.)

Book Fair
(Volunteers are needed to help during the annual book fair; set-up, cashiers and to assist students.)
School Picture Days
(Volunteers needed on various school picture days; collect photo cards and payments, assist students.)
Substitute Teacher
Family Day
(Sponsored by OLOM Church. Outdoor fun and fellowship for all age groups at the OLOM field.)
Religion Department
(There are liturgies, special events, retreats and projects that require assistance during the school year.)
First Eucharist Retreat
(This is an opportunity for second grade parents.)
Parish Auction
(Volunteers are needed for many aspects of this event; procurement committee, set-up/take-down, decorations, class projects, etc.)
Parish Fair
(Please note all families are scheduled for a volunteer shift during the weekend.)
