Case #1. You are the fellow on call with an intern who is on their first Maternal Child Health rotation. Your patient is a 29 yo G4P2012 who presented in active labor at 39 weeks 5 days. She now has a prolonged labor and you are called to the room to do an exam on the patient.  You find that the exam is 7/90/-1 and the position of the baby is occiput posterior.  The patient has also been complaining of back pain despite her epidural. The intern checks the exam after you. You ask the resident what she thinks and she tells you the correct cervical exam, but then goes on to tell you that she thinks the patient's pain in her back is due to a pinched nerve.
