CARP Scholarship Application 2011
At the CARP Winter Ball, Rev. In Jin Moon will be recognizing college students with scholarships for excellence based on three categories: Nurturing a Spiritual Life, Academic Excellence, and Creating a Generation of Peace. Please read the descriptions and qualifications for each category and be sure to fill out the application below if you are interested. **When emailing content and attachments for your scholarship application, please put the scholarship you are applying for and your full name in the subject line (i.e. Academic Excellence, John Smith).**

1. Nurturing a Spiritual Life: Write an essay or create a short film based on “Finding my faith on campus.” Essays should be 1-2 pages and short films should be between 1-2 minutes. They can be emailed to scholarships@carplife.org. Judges are looking for great content as well as great technique.

2. Academic Excellence: Nominate yourself or a fellow student who has excelled academically throughout college. Applicants should have maintained a minimum of 3.7 GPA. Please email your unofficial transcript, any academic achievements (and their descriptions) earned throughout college, and a brief statement about your career goals (one paragraph) to scholarships@carplife.org.

3. Creating a Generation of Peace: This award will be given to the outstanding CARP chapter of the year. Nominate your CARP chapter and include a summary of activities you have coordinated over the past year as well as any awards or recognitions received, and relevant pictures of your activities. Email information to scholarships@carplife.org

Each category will have three awards.

First Prize= $1,000
Second Prize= $500
Third Prize= $250

*All applicants must be currently enrolled in college, and enrolled at the time of the Gala.

Applications must be received by December 1, 2010.
Recipients will be announced at the Winter Ball on December 30th. Good luck!
