2012 Literary Submission Form

First, read this page in its entirety. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

We are seeking literary works addressing the Mixed experience. This includes, but is not limited to: stories of interracial/cultural relationships, transracial/cultural adoption and the exploration of multiracial/cultural identity.

Participants must be available to read from their works during the Festival on June 16 or 17. Participants are responsible for their own travel, transportation and lodging. The Festival is unable to provide an honorarium.

1) Complete the submission form below
2) E-mail a 10-15 page writing sample and a high res jpeg photo of yourself, attached (do not submit your writing or photo in the body of the email) to: mxrootsfest(at)gmail.com with “Literary” and your name in the subject line. Your writing sample should be what you plan to read from at the Festival.

Submissions are due February 15, 2012.

Late submissions will be accepted until March 15, 2012 and should be accompanied by a $50 donation (click on the donation link on our website, then send us an email alerting us to your donation)
