IntroductionGood morning South House my name is Saul Alvarado and my topic is firefighting. Today my presentation's goal is to teach you the basics of fire behavior. Fire behavior is something that is essential for firefighters to know and understand in order to put out a fire and to stay safe doing so.
9
Verification (Steps to check for student understanding)• Beginning of Presentation: Have you herd of the Fire triangle? Do you know the difference between conduction, convection, and radiation? Do you know the diffrent stages of a fire?
• End: Can someone tell me an interesting fact they learn today? What are the 4 things needed for a fire (fire triangle)?
10
Body (Give and/or demonstrate necessary information)Break down what you plan on talking about into manageable sections.

• Literal: I've learned that it is important to understand the behavior of fire because it can be the difference between putting out a fire and injuring your self. You need to know what the fire triangle ( or fire tetrahedron) is made up of (heat, oxygen, fuel, and a self sustained chemical reaction). I also learned about the transfer of heat.
• Interpretive: "Knowing your enemy is half the battle" so knowing what to expect going in to put out a fire and knowing what it needs to stay burning can help you make quicker decissions.
• Applied: Well I choose this topic because I've consider it as a possible future career and this helps me get a better understanding of that career and what to expect if I do choose to persuit it as a career.
11
Visualsjust a PowerPoint to help ease transitions and highlights main ideas.
12
Activity (Describe the independent activity to reinforce this lesson)• What is the activity: worksheet
• How it will be done: I will hand out worksheet on fire behavior and they will asnwer it.
• What materials will be used: Just paper and pencil

Three Important SourcesThree Important Sources
1. My mentorship with the Explorers because they've thought me about fire suppression.

2. Research I did online on fire behaviour because it gave me a more in depth information on the dynamics of fire.

3. My interview with FF Roberts because he mentioned a briefly explained the fire triangle.
14
ConclusionThank you for listening to my presentation on firefighting and fire behaviorand I hope you guys understand fire behaviour a bit more and that you learned something new today.
