With this spreadsheet you can:

1. Enter settings for search term etc below

2. To test the collection from the menu above select Twitter -> Test Collection (you might need to hit the setup button twice. The first time prompts for script authorisation, before you can run the setup properly)

3. You can control the type of data returned by changing the column heading

4. To automatically collect results set a script trigger by Tools -> Script Editor then Triggers -> Current script's triggers... -> 'No trigger set up. Click here to add one now'. Then select collectTweets for Run and Time-driven for Events and choose Day timer for daily updates or Week timer for weekly.

5. If you aren't getting any results back it usually indicates that you are being rate limited. To improve the number of results you can get run the Twitter > API Authentication
