9
10/15/2013 16:57:15Carly ReifmanA onion root tip cell spends a majority of its lifetime in interphase.
10
10/15/2013 16:57:16DanOnce the cell has entered mitosis, prophase seems to take the longest.

12
10/15/2013 16:57:47LisaOnce entering Mitosis Anaphase takes the shortest amount of time
13
10/15/2013 16:58:00JudyCells spend the majority of their life cycle in interphase. Once mitosis begins, the amount of time in prophase is highest in comparison to metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
14
10/15/2013 16:58:18CarrieCells spend the majority of their life in interphase. Mitosis happens quickly but prophase takes up the next amount of time then telophase where the cell wall reforms.
15
10/15/2013 16:58:31Yousef-ToddOnion cells have longer living cells, as such they do not need to divide as often.
16
10/15/2013 16:59:02AndrewThe majority of the cells being viewed were in interphase with the least amount of cells being in anaphase.
17
10/15/2013 16:59:28Henry S.The cell spends a longer time at interphase. The reason cells are at interphase more might be that the cells are ready to multiply when the organism needs them.
18
10/15/2013 17:04:25Jesus OjedaInterphase has higher numbers which probably represents that it requires more time in order to be successful during the interphase cycle of the cell.
19
10/15/2013 17:04:26CarrieCells spend the majority of their life in interphase. Mitosis happens quickly but prophase takes up the next amount of time then telophase where the cell wall reforms.
20
10/26/2013 21:38:23Michelle KirkThere seem to be more cells starting off in the beginning cycle, than their numbers decrease as they go through the process of change. It seems either the plant consumes the cells before they can mature or the cells do not have a set time to mature and do so when needed.
21
10/29/2013 13:28:06CarrieCells spend most of their life in interphase. Once mitosis starts, prophase (where DNA condenses) takes the next most time followed by telophase where the cell wall(cell membrane) splits the cells in half.
22
10/31/2013 19:18:19Curtis WardMost cells spend their time in interphase.
23
11/2/2013 16:19:28It does seem that Interphase is the stage with the most number of cells across the board here followed by Prophase.
24
11/2/2013 19:09:44Rick McMahanI viewed cell "C" which was somewhat unclear which made a non-science contributor such as myself a bit confused as to which state of division these were in. Nonetheless, it appears that the majority of cells were either in Interphase or Prophase.
25
11/3/2013 9:23:31Tony GuerreroThere are over half of the cells spend their time in the earliest of stages. It would appear to me this is a function of the strongest cells survive. There are fewer of them reaching later growth stages.
26
11/3/2013 10:54:57Garry Joseph Most of the time, the living cell is just "hanging out" in between the more dramatic action phases of cell division. Perhaps other processes are going on during this time that eventually signal the cell to begin mitosis.
27
11/3/2013 16:34:31George BurdoBeing weak in the Biological Sciences, about all that I can state is the Interphase appears to be the most common state of onion root cells.
28
11/4/2013 18:24:07Mallory GallagherAccording to the class information most of the cells seem to be in the Interphase stage.
29
11/5/2013 20:13:09Mark YaneyIt looks like about half of the cells are in interphase, but there is a lot of division going on
30
11/6/2013 0:37:46suravi choudharyFrom the above pool data its evident that the cell spend most of its time almost 57% percent of time at its interphase stage, this is followed by prophase stage which is 22%, next is telophase, then metaphase and lastly anaphase. It gives an indication that the least time the cell spends is, in its anaphase stage.
31
11/6/2013 5:00:28Sheri DelkhahThe number of cells reduces to less than 50% from Interphase stage to Prophase and the rate keeps falling in stages Metaphase and Anaphase. In many cases the number of cells increases from the Anaphase stage to Telophase.
32
11/6/2013 7:46:06Matt DudaIt seems as though most of the cells are in the Interphase. Only a few cells are dividing at a time which is why not as many cells are in the later stages.
33
11/6/2013 14:40:51Jorge EncinasThe stages in the process of mitosis slow down considerably as the division of the cell takes effect.

11/9/2013 12:54:17
36
11/11/2013 6:31:58There are more cells in interphase
37
11/11/2013 14:49:42Jasson PrzebiedaThe majority of views would support that the interphase is most viewed stage. This could be because cell growth spends most time in this phase.
38
11/12/2013 19:28:06Barrington WalkerCell is predominately in prophase
39
11/17/2013 22:22:10Anna TavitianBased on the pooled data, I hypothesize that the cell spends most of it's time in interphase during the cell cycle.
40
11/18/2013 18:00:50Dave GreenAccording to the data it looks like a vast majority of cells are in the interphase stage due to the root sample maybe being a little more removed from the root tip, so the cells have already done their replicating. The metaphase and anaphase stages seem to be the least represented, this could be because they are harder to discern than interphase or telophase. I accidently hit enter before I had my data in, so parts were entered in twice - sorry, better clean up that outlier!
41
11/25/2013 18:08:42Courtney CarpenterThe cell spends most of its time in interphase.
42
11/27/2013 15:21:01anna mkrtchyanBased upon the pooled data, the cell spends most of its time in the Interphase.
43
11/28/2013 0:11:37Megan WhitakerThere are more cells in interphase in the samples than in any other phase.
44
11/29/2013 11:06:11Janica HenzieCells spend the most amount of time in interphase.
45
11/30/2013 20:24:43Elba C. LopezBased on the pooled data, most of the cells remains in Interphase and Prophase while less than 7% are in Metaphase-telophase .
