Notes, Advice or Comments
38
I had a Laryngotracheal resection. My stenosis was VERY high up, 1mm below my vocal cords. That is why my restrictions are slightly different from a lower tracheal resectionI made sure to take the drain out ASAP so the skin did not start adhering to and there no pain with the removal.
This was the best decision I ever made.
Best decision of my life.  Advice- research your surgeon and see how many resections they have done.Have humidification or cool air mist for dry throat
Take a firm travel pillow for neck. It helped while the stitch was in place
Have someone with you 24/7. Friends and family .
I used a Boppy nursing pillow insted of a travel pillow and it worked great.  Use an eye mask in the hospital to block out the lights and help you sleep better.  Arrange for lots of help at home especially if you have little kiddos.heating pad and travel pillow, research physician
