3/31/2013-4/2/135Those days I planed and made a list of all the things I would need to grow marigolds. I also planned my garden and thought of what location would be a great place to put them, and how much attention they would need. I also did research on my own to see how to actually grow marigolds and see whether they were difficult or not. 5

4/3/13-4/7/136.5This week was a lot more difficult than the first week of growing dahlias last semester. I discovered the annual plants, marigolds, need a lot more attention. I watered everyday for 30 minutes to an hour. Especially since it was hot that week. These plants need much more water than the daliahs. I also had to plant each individual seed in the beginning. That was difficult due to the fact that my hads were wet (from watering) and the seeds would stick to my hands.11.5

4/8/13-4/14/137This week I continuted watering, only I would every other day instead of everyday like the previous week. But, I also prepared the garden bed that I would transplant the marigolds in once they are bigger. I had to pull tons of weeds and even got some blisters.18.5

4/15/13-4/21/136.5I contintued pulling weeds from the flower bed and prepared the soil. My soil was really rocky and dry so I added mircal grow and spread some compost I made from vegetable and fruit scrapes. I also continued watering as my flowers grew stronger.25

4/21/13-4/25/135I barelly made 30 hours, so I am grateful that the marigolds required SO MUCH WORK. This week my marigolds started getting weeds so I pulled them. Then I watered them. I had eftover compost left over from the week prior so I spread it on the flowers. I also did more research to find out when woulf be best to transplant them to a bigger location.30
