5
NolaDecent swiss food. The location makes this special since it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the small Weinbergs-Park. Great for lunch when it is sunny.Mitte$$lunchyes@TechBerlin
6
Hamburger BahnhofGreat Austrian food in a nice open space just next to the museum. Also good for cakes and coffee. In the summer you can sit by the river.Mitte$$$@TechBerlin
7
Katz OrangeCool atmosphere in a beautiful location. German upscale food. Stylish crowd. Also nice for just drinks upstairs in the lounge area.Mitte$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
8
KaterschmausTypical Berlin style from the makers of Bar25, Katerholzig and Holzmartk. Food is surprisingly good and in the summer there is nice seating by the river and one can go to Holzmarkt club after. Kreuzberg$$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
9
Santa MariaOne of the few mexican restaurants in Berlin that actually serves traditional food. But atmosphere is nothing special. Still cant believe Berlin has yet to copy the US trend of great Mexican restaurants that combine nice Margueritas and good Tequila with tasty food. Kreuzberg$$lunch / dinner@TechBerlin
10
BorchardtThe Classic Place to go when you want to check out the Yuppi, artsy and political scene all at once. Austrian/French Bistro style with the best Schnitzel in the World. Even though it is a little posh for Berlin standards, I really do like the place. The atmosphere is just outstanding and you can eat here till 1pm. Obama went here, when he was in town! :-)Mitte$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
11
Grill RoyalAnother stylish upscale place that serves Steaks. Crowd ranges from art dealers to politicians and escorts. You can easily sit here till 1pm.Mitte$$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
12
Cotadino Wein BarNice Italian neighborhood place with delicious food. Cozy and extremely friendly staff. There is a cotadino, too, but the Cotadino Wine Bar is much better!Mitte$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
13
Die HenneVery old school place that serves nothing more than fried chicken.Kreuzberg$$lunch / dinnerno@TechBerlin
14
Luther und Wegener am GendarmenmarktAnother classic German/Austrian place with good food. Better for lunches though as it has a rather boring crowd.Mitte$$$lunchyes@TechBerlin
15
Sale e TabachiAnother nice Italian to go to in the evenings with great food. For me the best Italian in Mitte.Mitte$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
16

17
DuduTrendy, loud Vietnamnese place. Mitte$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
18
Kimchi PrincessKorean Barbeque Place in Kreuzberg. Good value for money and cool, relaxed crowd. Kreuzberg$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
19
CassambalisClassy, beautifully decorated Mediterranean Restaurant in the old West with lots of Greek dishes. Charlottenburg$$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
20
Paris BarProbably the most famous of all Berlin restaurants. This was THE place for artists and politicians to meet before the wall came down and Mitte developed. It is still a great Bistro with lots of art on the walls, although the food quality has gone down a bit. Charlottenburg$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
21
La CaletaThe best Spanish restaurant in town. A little upscale and rather old crowd, but the food is so darn good that i would call it one of my favorite restaurants in town. Charlottenburg$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
22
The BirdBest Burger Place in town, no doubt about it. Great steaks, too! Prenzlauer Berg$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
23
Gingi SushiVery small sashimi and sushi place. Even though it is run by a Turkish guy, it is the most real Japanese cuisine you can find in Berlin and Gingi is a master of his craft. Talk to him and you will learn lots about Japanese cuisine. Gingi claims that Angelina Jolie always eats at his place when she is in town! :-)Prenzlauer Berg$$$dinner@TechBerlin
24
Soho HouseGood club style food, nothing spectacular, but good. $$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
25
Goldener HahnCozy neighborhood Italian. Very nice in the winter time. Kreuzberg$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
26
GoodfriendsBest Chinese in town. The interior is far from spectacular, but the food is real and the ingredients fresh. I eat here more than 3 lunches per week and still love it. Charlottenburg$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
27
Brooklyn Beef ClubBest steaks in town. Unfortunately the owner is a bit of a show-off and the atmosphere is tacky, but if you want the best steak in town, this is where you will find it. Kreuzberg$$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
28
ManiCozy, dark-lit restaurant with stylish interior und tapas style food. The cuisine theme is "From Tel-Aviv to Paris". Mitte$$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
29
CantinaStylish, dark-lit restaurant in the back of Bar1000. Great Japanese food, albeit quite expensive. Better for winter evenings than in the summer.Mitte$$$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
30
Trois MinutesCozy French Bistro with typical French food. Great lunch menu. Just dont go there for Brunch!Mitte$$$lunch / dinnerno@TechBerlin
31
Chez MauriceFrench Bistro with great food. Apparently Angela Merkel's favorite restaurant, although it is not a fancy place. Prenzlauer Berg$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
32
RaquletteAnother French restaurant, this one is more for the romantic nights. It has a fire place, so best in the winter time.Kreuzberg$$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
33
China ClubBest Asian in town (maybre even the world!) and probably the greatest location in the whole of Berlin. The walls are covered by art that is more intriguing that the art in most galleries and museums! But it is a members only restaurant and mostly empty. Mitte$$$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
34
HasirMost famous Turkish restaurant. They have many in Berlin, but the nicest ones are the ones in Kreuzberg and Schöneberg. Kreuzberg$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
35
VoxStylish Asian fusion at the Hyath Hotel. Often has live music at the bar.Mitte$$$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
36
Saporito BerlinVery cosy, quiet and beautifully decorated (vintage!) neighborhood restaurant. Food is good, not great, but good enough.Friedrichshain$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
37
Big Window The original Armenian place that Semiramis (see below) is modelled after. It's even a nod better than Semiramis and one of the coziest restaurants in Berlin. The only challenge is the owner Ivan who regularly kicks out people. If you go, dress up a bit and behave like you wold do at your girlfriend's grandmom. Then maybe he will let Ivan will let you stay. It's an adventure! Charlottenburg$$$$dinnerno@TechBerlin
38
SemiramisArmenian restaurant with exceptional meat dishes. The veal is marinated in milk and cheese and is the softest piece of meat i have ever tried. The salad and Napolitan cake are delicious as well. The atmosphere is kind of whack, but in a fun way and the joint is often frequented by Berlins Russian underwold. So dont be surprised to find a table full of sunglasses wearing Russian bodyguards drinking Vodka. The owner used to work at Big Window and lets you smoke inside after dinner. Charlottenburg$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
39
Sasaya After Gingi (only dinner) and Vox (very expensive), this is your next best sushi option in town. Be sure to make a reservation. Prenzlauer Berg$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
40
Buddha RepublicBest Indian in town! Buddha Republic is as good of an Indian restaurant as it gets in Berlin. Even though it can not match Indian restaurants in London, New York or other big cities, it is a good place and worth a visit if you are into Indian food. There is definitely still room for a Top-Top Indian place in Berlin though! Charlottenburg$$dinner-@TechBerlin
41
Minh - TrangThis casual imbiss style restaurant is the best Vietnamnese in town. It is always full of Vietnamnese people who go there for the excellent Pho Soup. They have a funky desert consiting of beans, coconut and crushed ice. Charlottenburg$$lunch / dinnerno@TechBerlin
42
Salumeria da PinoThe glass vitrine full of Italian gourmet antipasti will make your mouth watery. It is a little pricey, but the food is simply delicious. You can also come here to buy Italian delicatessen. The place has a nice sunny terrace and the owner Pino is as Italian as one can be. Tell him you are a friend of Ahoy! Berlin across the street and he will treat you like family! Charlottenburg$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
43
DalumaWell, it tries very hard to be a California style vegan/juice place. For Berlin it's not bad but don't expect US quality especially with the shakes. Best item on the menu is the cocount yogurt. Ask for a mixture of nuts and Caju! Mitte$$brunch / lunch / juicesyes@TechBerlin
44
EngelbergBest Brunch place in Berlin if you ask me. Food is Souther German style which is unbeatable when it comes to breakfast if you ask me! Prenzlauer Berg$$brunch / lunch yes@TechBerlin

49
Les ValseusesNice neighbourhood French place with a great atmosphere. Owners get drunk with you every night if you like and food is good as well. Only problem is the open kitchen which means that you may smell a bit afterwards. Prenzlauer Berg$$dinneryes@TechBerlin
50
Kochu KaruBest Korean i tried so far (have not been to Daemon yet though). Only problem is that it is not the most comfortable of all places. Prenzlauer Berg$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
51
EntrecoteIf you want to eat a good steak and great deserts without the party crowd of Grill Royal or the uptight atmosphere of Brooklyn Beef Club, this is where you should go. And it is the only of these places that offers Pommes Allumettes. Only pity is that they do not have the amazing sauce of their name cousin in Paris, but the Bernaise is good, too! Mitte$$$lunch / dinneryes@TechBerlin
52
Shan-ShanVery simple setting (in a hostel!!!) but no doubt: more than decent and very authentic Chinese food!Prenzlauer Berg$dinneryes@TechBerlin
