12/1/20121.5 hoursI took Susan's class today and she focused on core strengthening which I hate! Core exercises tire me out the fastest and the most so I felt that I couldn't really enjoy today's class.1.5 hours
3
12/4/20121 hourAfter a day at the gym, I used yoga to cool off with very light beginner's poses to restore some of my muscle and stray away from cramping.2.5 hours
4
12/7/20121 hourI did Iyengar with the basic props needs and I honestly didn't enjoy it. I felt like the props prevented me from getting that deep stretch that I usually like during Vinyasa.3.5 hours
5
12/10/20121.5 hoursI tried to do some of the intermediate poses and I did have some difficulty, but in the book "Hatha Yoga Illustrated," it showed variations of the poses in case you aren't able to do it.5 hours
6
12/11/20121.5 hoursToday was my first time meditating. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it... It was probably different because it was an online video rather than a class which probably makes a big difference.6.5 hours
7
12/15/201230 minI did some basic stretches since my legs were a bit tight and not as worked out as it should be.7 hours
8
12/16/20121 hourSince I worked on my legs yesterday, I decided to work upwards to my obliques and core. I did a lot of twists and core strengthening exercises. 8 hours
9
12/18/20121 hourI took a day off and now I'm back! Today I worked on my arms, doing a lot of balances and chaturangas. I can't wait to feel the burn in my triceps tomorrow!9 hours
10
12/20/20121 hourSince the past few days got a little hectic with a full body routine, I decided to cool down with light stretching again. I think these types of poses are the best since it's so effective yet at a light intesity.10 hours
11
12/23/20121.5 hoursI took Susan's class again. She worked on a lot of balancing and arm strengthening poses. For example, she made us lift ourselves up from a seated position while our leg was over our shoulder. It's hard to imagine but at least we know one person who can do it.... Susan.11.5 hours
12
12/26/20121 hourI did a lot of sun and moon salutations. Though the poses are fairly simple, it starts to burn after 6-7 times!12.5 hours
13
12/27/201230 minI did about 30 minutes of breathing exercises, activating my Ujjayi breath and prepping it for future reference.13 hours
14
12/28/201230 minI attemped to meditate in my room for a while and surprisingly, I felt a difference in things. I felt like I was lighter and carefree!13.5 hours
15
12/29/20121 hourToday I tried to master the dolphin pose. Yes, it did take an hour. It was a whole hour of trying to correctly align myself! With much stretching and pain in all the wrong places, unfortunately I was not able to accomplish this pose. It's strange because I can do a couple inversions but I can't so a standing pose.14.5 hours
16
12/30/20121 hourThis hour was dedicated in trying to improve my balance. For example, warrior III was practiced a lot and so was dancer's pose because those are mainly balancing on one leg.15.5 hours
17
1/2/20132 hoursI'm not sure if this will count against me but I went to a PiYo class today. PiYo is a mixture of pilates and yoga. Not much has changed because we're still using yoga poses, the only difference is it's extremely fast paced. 17.5 hours
18
1/3/20131.5 hoursBright and early, I woke up to do a "morning yoga flow" video which consisted of warriors and triangles.19 hours
19
1/5/20131.5 hoursI took Karen's class for the first time and she was great! She's a small, energetic lady who is an amazing yoga teacher. Near the end, she let us have some free time to try a headstand against the wall.20.5 hours
20
1/9/20131 hourI took Rita's Yoga Flow class and she said I was super flexible! That made my day knowing that a yoga teacher has seen your improvement in the practice.21.5 hours
21
1/7/20131 hourI did a Jillian Michaels' yoga workout and it worked me out hard! This lady is the real deal and she knows how to get the best out of her audience.22.5 hours
22
1/13/20131 hourI looked up an inversion video and it was SO DIFFICULT! I was only able to accomplish the standing poses because the lady in the video was almost always upside down. I did, however, learn how to do a headstand against the wall.23.5 hours
23
1/16/20131 hourI wanted to take it easy since my body has been aching for a while now, so I did a combination of breathing and meditation exercises.24.5 hours
24
1/17/20131.5 hoursI took Rita's Vinyasa class today and she taught us a bunch of hip openers. That eventually flowed us into Dancer's Pose.26 hours
25
1/20/20131.5 hoursI took Annie C.'s class which was an advanced class and I didn't even realize. A lot of the people there have been practicing for years whereas I've been practicing for a couple. Her class was the hardest class I've ever taken because they move so fast without taking any breaks!27.5 hours
26
1/21/20131.5 hoursTo cool down from such an intense class yesterday, again, I did some light intensity stretches with music this time! It really helps.29 hours
27
1/22/20131 hourI did a Hatha Yoga Flow class which is a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa. It involved a lot of trees, warriors and pigeons.30 hour

30
1/27/20131.5 hoursI did a detox and inversion video which burned so much! Maybe it was a bad idea to combine those two since those are both vigorous styles.34.5 hours
31
1/29/20131.5 hoursI did some basic beginner poses of light intensity. I then cooled off with a breathing exercise.36 hours
32
1/30/20131 hourToday I performed a lot of core strengthening poses since that's what I need to work on the most. After that, I did a full body routine a couple of times.37 hours
33
1/31/20131 hourI did a warm up, main exercise and cool down after presenting my 30 minute lesson to the class.38 hours
