Gilrandree is a very flexible character, and has been pictured quite a bit variable. I'm happy with him to stay that way. Don't hesitate to change details of his form or appearance, as fits the art. There is a costume which forms the canonical appearance, but that's but one way to view him. The costume didn't originally have wings, but does now, and they are, more or less, a standard feature of his form. Note his feet have cloven hooves, his eyes are glowing red, and his tail is lion-like, with a tuft at the end. Note that him having a tail is, for all intents, mandatory.

This is his demonic seal. Feel free to work it into the image. If it's something is is personally displaying, he won't show the outer circle and the runes. If it's shown being used to summon him, the outer circle and runes should be visible.

Note: He's not normally so large. This is in relation to a story concerning him. Expect him to be around 7-8' tall, normally. He seems to quite like lava in many of the representations of him.

This is a prime example of "very different creature, but still visibly the same character."I include this only to show just how far I'm willing to go with having the character "modified." Now, I'm not saying this is a form I'm looking to see again (please, no! :> ), only that I don't take him all that seriously, when it comes down to it.
76
Again, an entirely different interpretation of the same character. The markings on the horns and arms, shaping of the wings and other things mark him as the same character, in a very different form.

This is, by far, my favorite image of him, and following on to this design is something I'm happy to have others do. It's a much more "human-influenced" version of the demon, and, in my mind, looks all the more evil because of that. Note that, in the commissions where I noted he could be "visibly, if subtly male," one would, I think, presume this fellow is built more like a human than a canine, unlike the above images, which I think would be the opposite.

This one came from Clockwork Creatures, who did the original design on the costume. I'm really happy to see her alternate view of the same character. I think he kind of looks like the anti-Aslan.
