I will put it in the "For Mr. Heumann" box	My project shows that I understand the book because I need to know what he did wrong, like his rebellious doing. I need to know what he looks like so I can find a picture that looks relatively like him, and so that I can describe him. And it shows understanding because I need to know different details about the book for the entire poster to be complete,.
3	Juliann	Tsai	1984	S	I am making a photo album of things in the book. And then a description for each picture.	Plastic bin?	Well it connects real life people, places, etc. to the things in the book. Like what some symbols were and why they were important.

It shows my understanding of the book, because I took the key points and details of the dystopian society and found relations in this world and day that seem to connect to 1984. It shows aspects of dystopian societies, because in present times people are realizing the corrupt ways of their governments and are rebelling, or writing books or directing movies that show the way of dystopian societies.

8	Khoi	Le	Divergent	N/A	We have designed a "game"/simulation that replicates the process that occurs in the book Divergent. This process includes aptitude tests, initiation, and the "war" that occurs between the factions. As well as the advantages and disadvantages of each faction and the division of the factions.	The game will be played outside, and we will give you a copy of the test and write-ups.	We show that the factions are divided by personality, and that the sorting of citizens in this society is sometimes unfair. Like the book, people have to try to characterized themselves and they become grouped by their characteristics. Then in our game, we see how these characteristics play out against each other. Players of the game will experience the discord and clash between the factions and see how the dystopia in the book affects the people and the game.

I t will be on regular sized paper turned into your bin or where ever in the morning you ask us to put it	Well my pic show how dystopian the US is in the fictional story. There is a crazy major who is the leader somewhat like the president but he is controlling and its kinda like the hunger games the old white guy. It shows the walkers who were in a raffle and got picked. They know they are going to die some know soe dont know why they are walking until their death. And finally the crowd is in the backround cheering the walkers on. But they dont know the pain and sufferning that the walkers are going through and they also dont know how tryannic there stucture of life is with the major controling them
13	Jamie	Campbell	Divergent	S	We have chosen to make a scrapbook. It contains a description of the book, a page about each faction, and a page about the two main characters.	It's a regular sized book (size 8.5 by 11 pages) so the plastic bin	This shows an understanding of our book and its dystopian society because we explored the main parts of the society. This lead to a deeper understanding of the factions and main characters because we had to think about how each faction/person would want their page designed and what they would want written on it to best describe them. I also realized how convoluted a system it was because every page had to have a certain style, and couldn't branch out because it wouldn't be what the faction valued. I saw this as limiting individuality.
14	Leon	Witzman	Fahrenheit 451	T	This is a podcast reviewing the book Fahrenheit 451. I talk about the characters, loosely touch the plot, and related it to real life. The script is provided in the description of the video.	I will email you the Youtube link once it is done uploading.	I talk about how much power the government has to censor its people, loosely comparing burning of books to censorship of the internet. I also talk about how the government is making people feel happy when they really aren't.

It is on the wall in the far corner	This book is mostly on censorship and how censorship leads to ignorance. I stated this in the poster and gave a few of the types of censorship in Fahrenheit 451.

I also made a wanted poster for Global One and a magazine article that highlights the hopeless feelings in the book. I show my understanding of the dystopia society by showing the hardships suffered and the freedoms taken away by the invention of the bar code tattoo. In my news article, I explain what about the bar code is taking the basic rights of the American people, and how the government isn't being completely honest with the people of their country.

It is on the wall under the headphones.	Winston, the suspect, is accused of "Thoughtcrime". Simply put, Thoughtcrime Newspeak (the widely simplified, often confusing language of that time) for any illegal thought.Thoughtcrime can be any thought the Party frowns down upon, like thinking about rebellion and the Brotherhood. As Winston writes in his diary: "Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime is death."

Stebbins, for example, is in the back and Garraty is in the front, as it was in the book.
29	Keiko	Speed	Divergent	idk	I drew a comic/scene in the book. I didn't have time to outline them all in blue so most of the people were in pencil and there wasn't enough space in the comic squares for some of the dialogue so what i had to do was write what they were saying at the bottom of the square. I also made a summary and hook lines to draw people in to reading the book!	I am going to pin it on the wall. It will be next to steph's folder!(which is next to the mini whiteboard)	In the scene that i drew it showed when Four and Tris started talking and how when she made a remark about him he warned her that although she would be able to say them at Abnegation. Dauntless is much different so she must be careful of what she says. This shows how each isolated faction is very different when it comes to socializing and interacting.

Each section consists of clippings that are related to the factions theme, colors, rules, and values. On the back of the poster is a description of what each faction is responsible for and how the magazine clippings relate.	Plastic bin	It shows my interpretation and understanding of each faction and what their theme is. Each faction has their own beliefs and values of why they do what they do and what their goals were in order to sustain their particular life style. The collage also shows how a diverse society works together and how each strength is accepted and not discouraged, save Divergence.

Right next to the white board and thermostat. 1984 thegamelandopoly	We made it so you are escaping from the big brother. It also has spaces you land on that are real things in the book, like the ministry of love. Also there are cards you land on that make consequences for your player, like if you rebelled to society you could get erased, then that would put you back at the beginning of the game.
32	Riley	Lewis	The Long Walk	H	It's a powerpoint about the people, plot, and how its a dystopia	In your email	My project details how the society is controlled by the military, and how everybody is compelled to watch or participate in the long walk. It shows how the U.S. has been turned into a facist military state.
33	Rachel	Berge	Divergent	P	I designed outfits (three for Tris, three for Christina, two for Jeanine, and one for a random Amity citizen) that either symbolized the character or would be useful for them in their daily life. There are descriptions of what the clothes are and why I designed them like that.	It's above the couch in the back corner of the room, at the bottom of a lot of the other poster projects. (My name is on the bottom right corner of the poster packet)	My fashion sketches show understanding, analysis, and effects of a dystopian society because some outfits are futuristic and representative of certain aspects of the dystopian character or faction, while other looks are useful in the situations imposed by the dystopia.

It is in your Dropittome account and attached to an email that I will send to you real soon.	The dialog discusses takes place in a subway. Where two friends are meeting to discuss the challenges in living in a Dystopian society.
35	Tomer	Shlomovich	Fahrenheit 451	A	It is a drawing of a scene where Guy Montag meets Clarisse McClellan. In this scene Clarisse tells Guy about a past were firemen put out fires and help people rather than starting fires and burning books.	The project is in my house. I will hand it over after the break	The project shows understanding of dystopia by showing how corrupt the government is by twisting the reality and changing it completely. It also shows that knowledge is the power to understand the truth and reality, and provide the power of change.
36	Jacob	Isaacs	1984	Essay (Not lettered)	I wrote an essay on the seemingly prophetic and coincidental ocurrences that have resembled the plot of 1984, juxtaposing the present and recent past with fiction.	On paper	Dystopia as depicted by Orwell is more than simple fiction, it really does exist, something Orwell was able to predict. I show some examples after the book's time that exhibit exactly what 1984's author predicted, though there was no way he could have guaranteed they would occur.
