| 10/18/2014 23:13:54 | Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 208 | 92.5 | This is a cigar with some character! The silky smooth wrapper leaf is a dark chocolate brown and is showing very minimal veins. The wrapper and cap are expertly applied, and the foot is closed by having the wrapper leaf folded over at the foot. Really interesting to look at. | 95 | I'm really digging the aroma of this cigar, and I feel it is everything that we all want our humidors to aspire to...The aroma is mainly sweet cedar, but there is also a bit of dried fruit that tickles my nose...delightful. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | This cigar started off with a light pepper blast that quickly faded and evolved into a deep, earthy espresso. The sweetness that I detected in the aroma is nowhere to be found but that's just fine with me for now...I like my coffee strong and black! The flavors, while deep and heavy, are not overpowering, harsh or bitter, and are pairing quite well with my evening cup of coffee. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium-Full | The second portion of this cigar has continued with the coffee notes, but has now picked up a bit of leather and more of the earth has come forward. The smoke has become luxuriously smooth and rich, and there is a notable oil on my palate after each puff. Due to this, each puff is long lasting, and the finish is lingering. I'm finding this quite enjoyable. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium-Full | The final third of this cigar displayed another transition for me. The coffee note, sadly, faded away, but now was replaced with a bit of black pepper mixed with the leathery earth. In addition, there was just a hint of dried fruit in the fading finish...maybe a bit of apricot or fig...not really able to pinpoint it, but it's there, and it's good. The smoke output has remained copious and has retained it's oily characteristic. I can literally feel the slick that has developed on the roof of my mouth and my palate. | 97.5 | The draw on this cigar was just about as good as it gets...like a perfectly blended milkshake. As a result, the smoke volume was extraordinary and allowed me to experience all of the delightfully deep flavors this cigar had to offer. | 97.5 | Let me see...what are the characteristics I desire in regard to the burn of my cigar... Slow burn rate...check strong ash...check even burn line...check no touch ups/relights...check Yep...just about perfect! | 97.5 | I'm not sure any cigar can be truly perfect in regard to construction, but this stick comes close. I guess if you took this cigar, and removed every vein from the leaf it would be perfect...that's the only criticism that I can offer in this area. Very well made! | 95 | This cigar falls solidly into the category of great for me...The flavors were superb, the construction and performance were extraordinary, and the overall experience was a delight. I strongly recommend this to any BOTL who likes a deep earthy cigar. Please point me to the place where I can get more. | 50
| 10/19/2014 19:54:34 | Wes (SosaCub4Life) | 208 | 97.5 | Great looking cigar. It is a beautiful shade of milke chocolate brown. There are noticeable veins but the seems are almost entirely undetectable. The Cigar also has a closed foot Just a great looking stick. | 97.5 | Notes of cedar and creamy chocolate. This cigar smells delicious! | 97.5 | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | The 1st puffs of the cigar are packed full of super spicy pepper. It coats your mouth and tongue and then about blows you away on the retro. After a few puffs the spicy pepper backs off just a touch but is still the powerhouse of this stick. The draw is great, burn and ash so far are great and its producing wonderful amount of smoke. Off to a great start! | 95 | Medium | Medium | The 2nd third the big spice has faded, its still there but more in the background to keep things interesting. The burn line has started to get off some but the ash, draw and amount of smoke continue to be great. There is still some good spice on the retro but it's all but gone from the mouth. It has become more of a relaxing creamy with a hint of sweetness and some cedar. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | Going into the final 3rd the burn line has pretty much totally corrected itself. Some of the nice spice has returned more and is now hitting the back of my throat and it again prominent on the retrohale. As I continue through the end of the stick the spice is now again coating my toungue and the inside of my mouth. It'be been a nice transition back into a more peppery stick. | 100 | The draw has been great throughout. No complaints. | 92.5 | The burn line did get off during the 2nd third but corrected itself. I never had to retouch or relight. The Cigar produced lots of great smoke the entire time. | 95 | The construction was good. The ash held good but I've seen better, burn was mostly OK, draw was perfect and the amount of smoke throughout was very nice. | 95 | Overall this was a good stick. Not great but very good for me. It did transition from a powerful spice bomb at 1st to a more relaxing creamy smoke in the middle and then the spice came back some at the end. It has been very enjoyable and I would smoke this stick again. It's been a nice hour that I would gladly enjoy again. | 70
| 10/20/2014 9:11:26 | Paul (pmr1010) | 208 | 95 | The cap was placed very nicely on the head of this cigar in contrast to the rustic unfinished foot. Very appealing to look at, this cigar the wrapper was an even nice dark chocolate brown with a lot of sheen. No spots and minimal veins evenly appeared throughout the length of it. | 87.5 | This is one of the first cigars I've noticed very little aroma from. There was a faint hint of earthy tobacco and little else. I was surprised to find so little coming from this cigar because it was so nice and inviting to look at. | 90 | Medium-Strong | Medium | Upon lighting there was a lot of power, not a true full strength cigar but still a lot. Smoke poured off of the foot and more than usual coming from the head. The flavors were a little difficult to discern because of the amount of smoke. Once the initial smoke settled down a little I was able to detect coffee and chocolate which was easy to understand by looking at the wrapper. Complex it wasn't but the flavor was nice. Sometimes a straight forward smoke is just what you need, and I think it did the job well with this. Cocoa and tobacco flavors came in as the first third was turning into the second. | 90 | Medium | Medium | As the second third progressed the cocoa came and went but the coffee and chocolate were always present. Salty caramel became a very nice addition around the midway point but was taken over by a somewhat bitter flavor as more chocolate came to the forefront. | 90 | Medium | Medium | Earth and chocolate were the primary flavors as cigar 0208 came to it's final third. Milder strength and a slight amount more complexity were a nice change. The bitterness has gone and I was enjoying it a lot more now. It's a little bit of a shame that it took so long for the smoke to become milder because there is a nice flavor. The chocolate and coffee flavors are very nice and even well developed. As I mentioned earlier it was a straight forward smoke and that's nice to be able to rely on. When there's too much going on sometimes it can distract you from a good cigar, that didn't happen here. Simple and to the point with flavor. | 87.5 | The only thing I didn't really like was that the draw was pretty easy. Not too easy but enough to make you have to gauge your draw so that you didn't burn right through it. | 92.5 | The burn was even and kept that way through the majority of the smoke. I never touched it up and the edge of the burn was always basically a perfect circle. I was slightly surprised at how nice the burn was since the draw was so easy. | 90 | This cigar was wrapped well the unfinished foot gave it a nice character. Firm but with a little give, especially in the middle. A little less glue was probably used than should have been as it had a small piece that kept wanting to unravel. Otherwise a very nice cigar. | 90 | A solid daily go to cigar to have with coffee as the flavors really compliment each other. Not necessarily a special occasion cigar as I don't feel the complexity was enough to wait for but on a daily basis I think you'd know what you were getting out of every one. | 54
| 10/20/2014 20:55:48 | Robert (NavyPiper) | 208 | 92.5 | Today's review is a very good looking stogie, measures 5 1/8 X 49. Wrapper is medium dark Brown with a nice sheen to it. Has a number of tiny veins and the seams are tight & well blended. Head has a short shoulder and the cap is mildly round with a small flat face. The foot is encased by the wrapper. | 90 | Pre-light aroma is of rich tobacco and a little barnyard. Real nice. | 90 | Medium | Medium | First third started off with a fairly intense blast of pepper for a minute, then settled down to a nice medium tobacco & fairly strong coffee. Towards the end of the third, the pepper began to return, but more in the background. Flavor is crisp and clean, not muddied at all. Ash is tight, lasted the length of the third before dropping off, and the draw, while a little snug to me isn't bad. | 92.5 | Medium-Strong | Medium-Full | Holy Smokes Batman this has been a great third! Tobacco, baking spices, & pepper- 3 of my favorites! Great combination and again, I'm impressed at the crispness/cleanness of the flavors, no muddiness in the mix, all quite distinct but working wonderfully together, and very enjoyable! | 90 | Strong | Medium-Full | In the final third, all the qualities of the 2nd third were present, just a little more intense in strength. Hated to see it end. | 87.5 | Draw was a little snug for my liking, but wasn't bad at all, and never felt a need to open it up. | 97.5 | The burn was dang near perfect! Razor sharp from beginning to end with never a waver. | 90 | Construction looks to be very well made. The wrapper seems to be high quality, shape is great, seams are well done. Head/Cap are very nice, and the foot is encased by the wrapper. Stogie is very firm very little give when pressed, and it feels dense & heavy. | 92.5 | I loved it- need I say more? I enjoyed every aspect of this cigar, from it's appearance, construction and smoking it. Kinda hated to see it end... I'd take a box or 2 anytime! | 70
| 10/21/2014 10:48:16 | Jason (bigslowrock) | 208 | 95 | I'm a sucker for a nice closed foot cigar and this fits the bill. It has a really nice brown oily wrapper with just the lightest bit of tooth to it. The vanes while visible enhance the look of the cigar. | 95 | This has a almost wood component to the draw, which is not something that I usually detect. It also has some hay and tobacco to the aroma as well as the draw. | 97.5 | Strong | Full | BOOM Pepper. Thank you closed foot. I'm not a pepper head and this hit hard, but it doesn't really cross the line for me in the harsh zone. The initial blast begins to fade. Pepper is still dominant but I'm also getting some nice baking spice and cream to the mix. I'm really enjoying this third. | 95 | Strong | Full | The pepper is still fading with the creaminess and cedar increasing. I'm still getting some notes of baking spice ( vanilla and cinnamon). | 95 | Strong | Full | The strong pepper returns. It doesn't ever cross the line of too much though. I would have easily smoked this one to the end on a non review day despite being more of a medium/medium-plus smoker. The creaminess, cedar and spice is still there to the end, but fading as the pepper increases. | 95 | Great Draw | 85 | I've had great things to say about this cigar until we hit the burn. My burn was just wacked. Ragged burn the whole time. Needed a relight. A little bit of tunneling going on. | 90 | This is kinda a toss up. Before I put a flame to it, everything looked and felt great. Burn not so much. | 95 | I really enjoyed this cigar, nice flavor changes, well balanced flavors, and would even consider picking up a 5-10 pack, despite it not being in my normal flavor wheel house. I usually don't compare cigars to other cigars in my reviews, but I really couldn't get this thought out my head while smoking it. The cigar really reminded me of the OR dirty rats as far as the flavor profile and changes throughout the cigar. Just to give anyone a heads up that enjoyed that cigar, you'll probably like this one. | 100

Hated to see it end. | Good | Draw was a little snug for my liking, but wasn't bad at all, and never felt a need to open it up. | Close to Perfect | The burn was dang near perfect! Razor sharp from beginning to end with never a waver. | Very Good | Construction looks to be very well made. The wrapper seems to be high quality, shape is great, seams are well done. Head/Cap are very nice, and the foot is encased by the wrapper. Stogie is very firm very little give when pressed, and it feels dense & heavy. | Excellent | I loved it- need I say more? I enjoyed every aspect of this cigar, from it's appearance, construction and smoking it. Kinda hated to see it end... I'd take a box or 2 anytime! | 70
| 10/21/2014 10:48:16 | Jason (bigslowrock) | 208 | Great | I'm a sucker for a nice closed foot cigar and this fits the bill. It has a really nice brown oily wrapper with just the lightest bit of tooth to it. The vanes while visible enhance the look of the cigar. | Great | This has a almost wood component to the draw, which is not something that I usually detect. It also has some hay and tobacco to the aroma as well as the draw. | Extraordinary | Strong | Full | BOOM Pepper. | Great | Strong | Full | The pepper is still fading with the creaminess and cedar increasing. I'm still getting some notes of baking spice ( vanilla and cinnamon). | Great | Strong | Full | The strong pepper returns. It doesn't ever cross the line of too much though. I would have easily smoked this one to the end on a non review day despite being more of a medium/medium-plus smoker. The creaminess, cedar and spice is still there to the end, but fading as the pepper increases. | Great | Great Draw | Fair | I've had great things to say about this cigar until we hit the burn. My burn was just wacked. Ragged burn the whole time. Needed a relight. A little bit of tunneling going on. | Very Good | This is kinda a toss up. Before I put a flame to it, everything looked and felt great. Burn not so much. | Great | I really enjoyed this cigar, nice flavor changes, well balanced flavors, and would even consider picking up a 5-10 pack, despite it not being in my normal flavor wheel house. | 100
