| 6/19/2014 19:53:57 | Sandeep (Djangos) | 170 | 92.5 | This a huge cigar with over 6 inches in length and at least if not ore 54 RG. Seems well made with a light brown wrapper. The surface is quite toothy and bumpy. No problems with the wrapper are noted. Three caps are present. | 95 | Aroma of chocolate and hay are the most predominant. There is also some sweet spices present. The dry puff is more chocolate and leather. There is definitely some pepper to the tongue as well. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The cigar starts off with the chocolatey flavor that I got in the dry draw but quickly transitions to a more spicy profile. There is a lot of nutmeg and maybe even some cayenne. A touch of pepper appears after the first half inch and then increases in strength. It is coating the tongue and spreads to the back of the throat. Also as the third progresses an almond like nuttiness becomes apparent. There is an earthiness in the backgrounds as well. Very complex so far. The draw is close to perfect but the burn on the other hand is quite skewed but I make to the end of the third without the need for a touch up. The ash is almost white and flaky. I ashed it after an inch so that it wouldn't fall all over me. Overall great so far! | 95 | Medium-Strong | Full | As we enter the middle third the complexity is still wowing me. The nutmeg like flavor is waxing and waning with a lot of nuttiness. The pepper is constantly present to the tongue but never overwhelming. The earthiness with a hay like character is also becoming more apparent. The chocolate flavor is long gone but I find that I am not missing it! The only issue with this third was that I had to finally give in and touch up the burn that was skewing out of control. The smoke continues to be creamy and delicious. The draw is almost perfect. Great experience so far. | 97.5 | Medium-Strong | Full | Its almost like they saved the best for the last. The nutmeg flavor has taken on a new strength and is amazing. Also the nuttiness is more prominent as well. The back ground earthy flavors are being replace with a woodsy component with a hint of leather in the after taste. The pepper is still present and is adding immensely to the enjoyment. The burn line seems to be correcting itself after one more touch up. The draw remains true to the very end. Also the smoke production seems to have increased. All in all a great smoke. Will definitely buy a few to store in my humi! | 97.5 | Draw was close to perfect the entire length. | 87.5 | The burn had some issues with some severe skewing in the first and middle thirds and required a couple of touch up but seemed to correct itself in the last third. | 95 | The cigar is well made with a firm consistency to the entire length. There are no soft spots appreciated. The well applied caps are discernible. | 97.5 | The cigar with its ever changing flavor profile provided a complexity that I have not seen in a while other than in Tats and LPs. I would recommend this and plan on getting a few for my humidor to age. | 70
| 6/25/2014 13:45:54 | Dave (mdwest) | 170 | 85 | I was surprised to find a couple of holes in the wrapper of this stick. They were not from beetles or anything else, as they only went through the wrapper alone, and not into the binder or the rest of the stick. There was also a pretty significant crack on the foot. I cant be sure if the cigar left the factory this way, or if it was a result of shipping, but the wrapper holes certainly make me suspicious about quality control. Initial impressions on appearance are not too favorable though. | 87.5 | The pre-light aroma of this stick is very light with only the scent of dry grass and tobacco present. | 85 | Mild | Light | The first few puffs bring out very light, silky, cool smoke. No harshness is present at all. Floral notes are faint, with nothing else detectible. This stick seems a bit one dimensional during the first third. | 85 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | The second third presents no changes from the first until I get about 1/2 through the stick, where flavors go from being faint and light, to more defined, and not very welcoming. The second third completes with the stick beginning to have the distinct ammonia flavor of a cigar being smoked too young accompanied by a tobacco flavor that seems stale, almost like the cigar has gotten too old and "aged out". | 82.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | Sadly, the final third keeps the stale tobacco and ammonia profile that started peeking out at about the half way point. I am really wishing I could go back to the mild and faint floral notes that were present in the first third now. The stick did pick up a slight herbal taste on the finish, but it was overwhelmed with the less desirable flavors and didnt do much to save the stick for me. | 97.5 | The best thing about this stick was the draw. Nearly perfect. | 90 | Combustion was pretty consistent from start to finish, and only one touch up was required toward the end of the second third. | 90 | Outside of the cosmetic flaws noted earlier in the review, construction of the cigar was pretty good. The pack was firm and consistent with no soft spots found. Seams were tight, and the cap was well applied. | 85 | Not a stick I would be interested in smoking again. Between the cosmetic issues, the lack of flavor in the first half, and the really poor flavor that became present in the second half, this just isnt a cigar for me. | 96
| 7/7/2014 20:02:46 | Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 170 | 87.5 | This cigar is one heavy brute! It sports a light brown, leathery wrapper that is well applied with barely visible, tight seams. The cigar is not smooth, however, and has numerous bumps that are firm and feel like stems or hard pieces of leaf under the binder. The squared off cap appeared to be a double, and is also well applied. | 87.5 | The aroma is mainly light cedar from the wrapper, with sugary sweetness from the foot. Neither aroma is strong, although the sugar sweetness has a sharpness that makes it unmistakable for me. | 87.5 | Mild | Light | The initial puffs of this cigar are tight and I'm having trouble getting sufficient smoke. The first flavors are extremely mild and have no spice or pepper to speak of. The first flavors are a light salted caramel and cashew...very light, but tasty. | 87.5 | Mild | Light | The second third was much the same as the first with the exception that the sweetness has faded a bit, leaving behind a note of salted cashew. The smoke production has continued to suffer due to the tight draw. Unfortunately the wrapper has decided to crack as well...as a result I'm not able to massage the cigar to try and loosen it up. As it sits, the wrapper is unraveling for about 1" behind the burn line. | 87.5 | Mild | Light | Still no real transition to speak of as this cigar draws to its conclusion. A bit of spice on the retrohale is the only change for me. The draw has remained tight and the wrapper continued to crack...it's been a bit frustrating, really. | 85 | The draw was tight on this cigar from light to ash out...unfortunately this created more work than I'd like, and negatively impacted smoke output. I hope that this is an anomaly. | 92.5 | The burn on this cigar was excellent, even when I walked away for a while. Strong ash, and no relights are always a plus. | 85 | This cigar had wrapper and draw issues that just cannot be ignored. I store my cigars at 65%RH, so I don't believe that was a detriment...it was just a challenged cigar. | 87.5 | The flavors, though mild, were enjoyable. The smoke as a whole was not. Too much work was needed to make this a relaxing experience...hopefully the next one of these I try (I'd like another when I know what it is) will be better. | 85
| 7/12/2014 7:58:23 | Craig (WyldKnyght) | 170 | 90 | Very nice Robusto Extra sized (6 1/4 X 54) that had a marbled brown wrapper, no large veins, although some small to medium ones. It had a nice triple cap. | 90 | The wrapper on this cigar had a very nice chocolate smell. The dry puff gave off some chocolate and hay flavors. | 90 | Medium | Medium | At first this cigar gave off some hay, light pepper and nutty flavors. It was nice and mellow, the burn was a little uneven and the draw was tight. I had to use a draw tool to loosen up the draw. It also had a flaky ash. | 90 | Medium | Medium | During the second 3rd I started to pick-up some spice, I think it was cinnamon or nutmeg, with some pepper in the back of my mouth. Once again I had to use a draw tool as the draw was tight again. | 90 | Medium | Medium | The last 3rd really started to show what this cigar can be. The burn evened out and it became really mellow and smooth. The spice continued on from the second 3rd, and there was lots of smoke. It started to burn hot at the end yet it was still creamy and smooth I nubbed it and the was a definite pepper kick to finish. | 75 | Not sure why, maybe an age or humidity issue, but the draw was very tight and I had to use a draw tool several times during the first two 3rds. | 87.5 | It had some slight burn issues to start but evened itself out and burned great after about the halfway mark | 90 | The construction was very good, firm with no soft spots. | 90 | I wished I could have given this cigar a higher rating, but due to the slight burn issues and the tight draw I was not able to do so. I definitely want to try this cigar again as the flavors were great. | 90
| 7/13/2014 10:54:23 | Gregg (McGreggor57) | 170 | 87.5 | A beefy looking stick with lots of veins and raised seams throughout. The cap is a bit askew and the shape at the foot is not symetrical | 90 | Tobacco along the cigar and at the foot with the cold draw displaying some sweet cedar. | 90 | Medium | Medium | Surprisingly there is no pepper or spice on the initial light up, rather a nice sweet tobacco and cedar. A little rosemary adds an interesting twist. There is a very slight char on the finish which balances the sweetness nicely. | 90 | Medium | Medium | The cedar is still present but the sweetness is being tempered by some leather. The finish now has a meatiness to it with some char still capping things off. Just past the halfway mark I'm picking up some coffee and chocolate. This will be an interesting change if these flavors stick around. | 90 | Medium | Medium | There is some mint creeping into the final third. Subtle enough that it's not overpowering but adding a nice dimension to the profile. The cedar is still present as is the meaty char on the finish. A little allspice and nutmeg help to round out the finale. | 90 | The draw was a tad loose for this size cigar. I was craving a bit more resistance to help pull out the flavors. | 87.5 | One touch up was required as the burn line really got out of wack. The ash was solid and only dropped a couple of times. | 92.5 | Despite my initial thoughts on the appearance, there were no real issues with the construction. It was firm throughout and seemingly well packed. | 90 | Not a ton on interest but enough subtle changes to keep me engaged. I would consider this a decent everyday smoker but would grab something else for a special occasion. | 80

| 7/13/2014 10:54:23 | Gregg (McGreggor57) | 170 | Good | A beefy looking stick with lots of veins and raised seams throughout. The cap is a bit askew and the shape at the foot is not symetrical | Very Good | Tobacco along the cigar and at the foot with the cold draw displaying some sweet cedar. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | Surprisingly there is no pepper or spice on the initial light up, rather a nice sweet tobacco and cedar. A little rosemary adds an interesting twist. There is a very slight char on the finish which balances the sweetness nicely. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | The cedar is still present but the sweetness is being tempered by some leather. The finish now has a meatiness to it with some char still capping things off. Just past the halfway mark I'm picking up some coffee and chocolate. This will be an interesting change if these flavors stick around. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | There is some mint creeping into the final third. Subtle enough that it's not overpowering but adding a nice dimension to the profile. The cedar is still present as is the meaty char on the finish.
