| 8/2/2014 14:24:35 | Ron (shuckins) | 187 | 95 | A great looking cigar! I love the box pressed torpedo shape, and the wrapper color. | 90 | Sweet nutmeg, with light cedar, and a faint coffee smell. | 85 | Medium | Medium | Starts out with a very smooth, but dry tasting cedar flavor, that lasts throughout the first inch. A stingy splash of allspice shows up as I smoke past the first third, giving some much needed life to a flat tasting cigar. | 85 | Medium | Medium | The dryness of the cedar has faded a bit,but leaves behind more of a woodsy taste. The allspice is more up front, and would be more enjoyable if it had another element join it. So far it's a pretty one dimensional cigar. | 85 | Medium | Medium | As I smoke towards the end there are no changes in the flavor profile. Cedar that has a lingering dry wood taste, along with an allspice flavor that never quite reached it's full potential. It seems to me that the cigar is lacking a key element that would push it over the top. | 97.5 | Wide open draw with plenty of smoke, although there was a little heat at times. | 90 | Good burn most of the way, just a little hiccup about halfway in. | 92.5 | Very well rolled, with a blemish free velvety smooth wrapper. | 85 | Looks can be deceiving as I was disappointed with this cigar performance, after being excited to smoke it because of it's look. | 75
| 8/10/2014 8:49:23 | Paul (pmr1010) | 187 | 95 | A very nicely made box pressed Torpedo with a smooth and silky wrapper. Leather colored brown with a slightly burnt reddish tint with minimal veins and a well made cap. Well made with great looking tobacco leaves. | 95 | This Torpedo had an Earthy tobacco scent pre-light. | 95 | Medium | Medium | Upon lighting I immediately tasted cocoa and chocolate. The creamy smoke pouring off the foot smelled amazing and made me very hopeful for what I was about t experience. The taste developed into a little more rounded chocolate flavor with hints of pepper but not too much. A slight hint of espresso came in at the tail end of the first third. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The espresso that was hinted at in the first third came in a little more now complimenting the cocoa and chocolate flavors. The slight pepper was still there but less noticeable because of the well developed center stage performance going on. This is a very nice cigar. | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | The final third continued on with the cocoa, chocolate and espresso flavors with an Earthy flavor which I picked up on in the initial aroma of the cigar. A little pepper was on the retrohale and gave just the right amount of spice to the overall experience. Less smoke now from the foot but what was there was very dense and white and aromatic. I think even a bystander would enjoy this cigar from the terrific scented smoke coming off the foot. | 92.5 | Even with a small scissor cut the draw was a little too easy. Not bad but a little too unrestricted which could lead you to smoke it too quickly. All in all however a nice experience. | 95 | There were few if any issues with the burn from this great cigar. Any burn inconsistencies corrected themselves within a few puffs. The smoke decreased from the foot over the duration of the time I smoked it but not in a bad way. What was there smelled really nice. | 95 | The person rolling this cigar did a great job using obviously premium tobacco. A silky wrapper covered a nicely rolled core and was box pressed to make a very elegant looking Torpedo. I'm not always a fan of box pressed cigars but this was a great compliment to a great cigar. | 95 | From my experience this is a cigar that I already have in my humidor, but if I'm wrong then I would certainly buy a box. A complete and well rounded flavor profile that was nicely balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. | 56
| 8/11/2014 18:28:54 | Wes (SosaCub4Life) | 187 | 95 | Cigar is a nice box pressed torpedo shape. Wrapper is a light almost milk chocolate brown, but it has a lot of veins. The construction looks nice but definitely a wrapping with lots of veins. | 97.5 | I get a very nice chocolately cedar notes when smelling the wrapper and the foot. Has a very pleasant aroma. | 95 | Medium-Strong | Medium | First few puffs I was hit with a lot of spice and pepper, especially on the retrohale. There seemed to be some light cedar trying to come thought but the spicy pepper at this point was over powering everything. Not exactly sure why but at first the cigar really dried my mouth out and I had to sip some water just to get moisture back into my mouth. Definitely lots of good smoke from this stick and as the final 1st third comes to an end the pepper has faded back some to reveal a bit a sweetness. | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | Going into the 2nd third the spice and pepper have continued their fade and have seemed to platow out to where there is still some spice but it much more slight and not over powering. The stick is still really drying my mouth out and Im not really sure why. Maybe its just me tonight, but this really never happens to me while smoking. Tasting some more cedar and the stick has mellowed out at this point. Still producing real nice smoke and it held a good 2 inches of ash before it fell off. The burn started off a little funky but has totally fixed itself by this point with no touch ups. | 95 | Mild-Medium | Medium | The final third has remained the same as the 2nd... still some peppery spice on the retrohale but overall the cigar has mellowed out. After the 1st ash fell off it again held a good 2 inches of ash before that fell off. Still creating lots of nice smoke and has been an enjoyable but not fantastic. Since the overwhelming spicy pepper at start it has stayed basically the same ever since. Started to get a bit hot towards the end of the stick. | 100 | The draw on this stick was great. It was a nice easy draw and easy to smoke. Never any problems at all. | 97.5 | As I stated earlier the burn started off kinda funky but corrected itself by the 2nd third and has been very good ever since. Never needed a touch up. | 100 | Cigar was very well constructed. Held a nice long ash, never fell apart or had any problems at all. I was able to smoke it to the very end with no touch ups or hassle. | 92.5 | Overall this was a pleasant cigar to smoke. I couldn't find anything flavor wise to make it outstanding but the construction, draw and burn have all been pretty much flawless. After it mellowed out from the beginning I am still getting some nice spice on the retrohale but overall it has been pretty mellow and nothing fantastic about the flavor. It did dry my mouth out a ton at the beginning but due to its great construction and burn I was able to smoke it down to the nub. Depending on its price point I would have to think about getting more of these. It was a good smoke but nothing spectacular for me. | 65
| 8/12/2014 16:23:47 | Gregg (McGreggor57) | 187 | 92.5 | I'm a sucker for box pressed cigars and this one is a beaut. Nice even coloring with only a couple of small veins and nice seams. | 90 | A mild barnyard along the cigar and at the foot. The cold draw produced some cedar and a touch of mint. | 90 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | A nice mix of hay and fresh grass with a subtle finish of light coffee. The retrohale gives up just the slightest pepper, but it's not really a factor at this stage. Mid way through this third some toast joins the coffee and really balances balances the grassy flavors. | 87.5 | Mild-Medium | Medium | The retro is producing some healthy spice now and again with clove and allspice leading the flavor charge. The grassy notes are moving to the back and the coffee/toast is fading fast. The ash is very flaky and is splitting and dropping all over the place, almost to the point of being a distraction. | 90 | Mild-Medium | Medium | The profile is switching up with the grasses coming back to the front and the baking spices landing on the finish and retrohale. A relight keeps the cigar lit. For the first time I'm noticing a little cedar that adds to the sweetness and helps the flavors from becoming harsh. | 92.5 | A consistent draw that saved the cigar during some of the burn issues. | 85 | Although the burn line never got out of control, it was off a good amount of time. The flaky and splitting ash was a distraction to manage while a slight tunneling toward the end required a re-light in order to keep the cigar going. On the plus side, the smoke production was awesome. | 90 | Burn issues aside, there were no other complaints. | 87.5 | On the flavor side, this was a cigar I would smoke again. A nice mild smoke that offered a few changes along the way. Needing to pay attention to the ash dropping all over the place was a real disappointment. It was very flaky and split throughout the entire smoke, dropping at random intervals. I prefer to spend my smoking time enjoying the profile a cigar offers, not maintaining it. | 65
| 8/13/2014 23:20:20 | Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 187 | 97.5 | This is a truly remarkable looking cigar. The wrapper is satiny smooth and glistens in the light. The seams are invisible, and there are almost no veins at all. The cigar is sharply box pressed and has a perfectly applied torpedo cap. Surprisingly the stick is very light in my hand, although it feels firm and solid. | 92.5 | This stick has a strong, sweet compost aroma that is very much reminiscent of an "experienced" humidor...one that's been around and held a lot of sticks. It's really what I think a cigar should smell like. | 85 | Mild | Light-Medium | Upon clipping I was greeted with a wide open draw that carried notes of barnyard and some of the sweet compost. After the torch was applied, however, the flavors became a little bitter, and left a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste in that back of my throat. Honestly, I'm having a hard time discerning any flavors here in the first third...the smoke tastes young to me, and is a bit acrid. | 87.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | This third has shown marked improvement for this cigar. The smoke has been ample from the beginning, but while it was dry and acrid before, now it has developed an oily nature, and is becoming creamy and pleasant. The flavors are still quite muted, but there is a bit of leather from time to time, and now I can feel a bit of black pepper in the nose. | 87.5 | Mild-Medium | Light-Medium | The last portion of this cigar was really a carbon copy of the second third...creamy and mild with a bit of leather and just the faintest bit of pepper in the nose. Thankfully the acridness and harshness never returned, but there could stand to be a lot more flavor. | 92.5 | The draw was a bit loose but the smoke stayed cool and plentiful. No complaints in this area. | 92.5 | This cigar burned slowly and evenly from start to finish. Not always razor sharp, there were no touch ups or relights needed...that makes me a fan! | 92.5 | This cigar was attractive to look at and performed admirably. The ash was strong, and held to midway before falling in a loose pile next to my cigar stand. | 87.5 | The appearance and construction were the strong points for this cigar for me. The initial flavors were not pleasant, however the middle and end were decent, just lacking for complexity and depth. Maybe some age would mellow out the beginning, but I'm afraid it might also erase the little flavor I got in the last portions. | 45

Maybe some age would mellow out the beginning, but I'm afraid it might also erase the little flavor I got in the last portions. | 45
