10/4/2013 22:48:23Dan BenamyShower heads are too low.Buy and install something to raise the shower head, like: http://www.amazon.com/UA902-PK-Universal-Showering-Components-Adjustable/dp/B0064TYE9Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380687981&sr=8-1&keywords=shower+head+extension#productDetails Should probably buy tape to connect pipes: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-2842G-Teflon-Tape/dp/B000BWCFT6/ref=pd_sim_hi_2Basic plumbingCan't think of any risks.~$201Showers are ridiculous for people taller than about 5'8". It gives a negative impression of Factor E Farm.MediumI can order these and install them. I'd do one shower first to make sure it works well. The west shower will be far easier to change than the east, due to access issues. I think one hour is a reasonable estimate for time. Less than $20 in parts.

10/8/2013 14:42:11Audrey RamponeDryer needs venting to the outside of the HabLabDrill hole through plexiglass windows and install vent / hoseRequires ability to cut large round holesDamage plexiglass requiring full window replacementParts are purchased (vent hose, clamps, vent). 0.5Creates dust in the HabLab; requiring more time spent keeping HabLab cleanMediumThe challenge is finding an simple place to penetrate the building. Not the ceiling/roof. Perhaps through one of the wood members that is between the upper fixed windows on the north side.

10/9/2013 14:09:07Audrey Rampone Evaluate all windows for security, draftiness, and proper fit. Remove AC unit in office and replace with fitted window.Remove AC unit in office and replace with fitted window.Carpentry to create and install new windowMust be done in one day or plan to seal the window with a tarp.Approximately $30 for the office window if supplies are not already on hand. May cost more if other windows have problems.<4The current window in the office is not properly sealed. The AC unit is still installed. This winter, we will have cold air coming through the cracks and the AC unit.HighWeather stripping can be added to windows to create a tight seal when closed. I also notice some areas that need to be caulked.

10/9/2013 14:15:08Audrey RamponeThe cabinet below the kitchen sink is molded from water damage.Replace molded wood or the entire cabinet.Carpentry & plumbing. There may be more water damage once the cabinet is removed. Disconnecting the sink may uncover more issues as the water filtration system will need to be removed and re-installed if the entire cabinet is replaced.A new sink is approximately $122 plus tax from Lowe's : http://www.lowes.com/pd_309455-66150-31A+SB36_0__?productId=3182427&cm_mmc=SCE_PLA-_-Kitchen-_-KitchenCabinets-_-3182427&CAWELAID=1236242379&kpid=3182427&%22cagpspn=pla%22 Other parts may be required if not already on hand.3Mold can cause disease. Many people are allergic to mold. The area cannot be used as storage in its current state as well.HighIt would make sense to install the plumbing for the dishwasher when this repair or replacement action occurs. This appears to be fixed. My inspection showed under the sink to be freshly painted and I did not see any mold.

10/9/2013 14:41:30Audrey RamponeHeating inadequate in HabLab. Stove installed in front room leaks smoke.Fix stove in front room (remove bricks, break down stove, weld pieces). Install small pot bellied stove in rear of HabLab. Utilize space heaters for other areas.Welding, general labor, carpentryPotbelly stove needs to be assessed as a viable option -- do we have all of the parts? Will it integrate with venting system? Etc. Unknown, need repair analysis, list of parts, etc from an expert.36 hoursWe will freeze. Electricity bills will be higher due to running space heaters.HighWood stove recently repaired. I highly recommend installing a Carbon Monoxide detector.

10/15/2013 10:19:52Katie WhitmanDumpster's lid is extremely difficult to open and close. There is also a risk of getting scratched by the chicken wire surrounding the lid because it is instinctively used to lift the lid. Remove the crate lid and attach a plywood top that keeps animals from accessing the dumpster, but is light enough to lift with one hand. Carpentry If the new lid is not cut to the right dimensions, animals will have access to the dumpster. Treated plywood, hinges ~ $501.5Taking out trash is a 2 person job, it would be reduced to a 1 person job. HighThe current lid is a safety hazard and an operational challenge. I have scratched myself opening the lid and was unable to retrieve the lid when it dropped into the dumpster. Adding a new lid would be an easy task. I think we have scrap plywood material we can make it from, too.

10/15/2013 10:55:48Katie WhitmanHabLab bathroom and kitchen concrete is not sealed. Seal the concrete. Time and effort No risks - possibly have to strip and reseal later on$150 to cover sealer costs and application brushes2Removing carpet from the bathroom and kitchen is an improvement to sanitation standards. MediumFeedback on the concrete floors of the HabLab's kitchen and bathroom areas is negative. The floors give the impression that the HabLab is not finished. Tile would be a better solution. Could also use the specialty concrete paint, but the cost there would be comprable to tile.
