New Canaan HS01400 eBooks for research. circulate iPads and iTouches, but not as eReaders (although students can access their personal accounts and read on the devices). eBooks are all browser-accessed - not downloadable - impractical -eBook loan period is 1 hour-designed for research. Not ready to make the popular fiction plunge, exploring partnerships with town library, which subscribes to OverDrive - reaching beyond the community to C.E.S., CLC and iCONN to see how partnering with those organizations might work to everyone's advantage - will not acquire resources that are device specific until the mega book sellers come up with library-friendly acquisitions procedures. Overdrive is fiscally impractical - leasing eBooks is tricky with school district budgets.
