23 | In the fall of 2008, GM Racing announced that it will run a limited schedule in the GT1 category, in 2009. Plans were revised mid-winter, and three endurance races (Sebring, Le Mans, and Petite Le Mans) were confirmed. Plans to initiate a shift to the new GT class, announced for 2010, were also announced. The team will run selected races in GT2, in 2009, using a 6-liter version of the current LS7 (ZR1) small block. In 2010, GM will introduce a new 5.5 liter version of the latest GM small block V-8. | |||||||||||||||
