21/11/2012 16:13:42Paolo Di ProdiRobomotic ltdWe are building a platform for the eldery and we are in need of people with the following profiles:
* medical practitioner who is aware of the new technologies that are coming up in ICT in telecare, telehealth and eHealth
* an expert in medical policy and regulation
* an expert in HCI for the elderly population
We are primarly an innovative high-tech company with experience in medical devices, sensor network technolgy and data analysis.
We have experience with open source projects for the DIY market and we are involved in a number of open source project.
We are particularly focused on the use of AI for the analysis of real time series of data wheater that means environmental data or medical data.
We are also interested in building robotics platforms for fun and profit.
Our primary project is EMMA a platform that combines traditional telecare with smart homes to provide an holistic solution to remote care.
The platform is open source and hardware and we want the community (private or public) to play an active role in terms of content and product generation.
The idea is to provide a cost effective solution for promoting self-management of people within a certain condition or a particular age and offer tools for the integration with existing institutional care providers.

21/11/2012 17:31:40Mike PlukeCastle Consulting Ltd.- Enough persuasive arguments to encourage industry that enhancing accessibility is a mainstream activity that will be benefit their core business interests

- Tools that support the development of accessible designs as the default option

- Developers that understand that persons with disabilities are able to and want to do exactly the same things that they do!
- A background in user profiles and personalization. Personalization solutions have significant potential to leverage the deployment of accessible solutions

- A deep and broad understanding of user experience issues in telecommunications

- Able to initiate standardization activities related to accessibility within ICT (particularly within ETSI)
I am leading the development of a European standard on "Accessibility requirements for public procurement of ICT products and services in Europe".

This is a European equivalent to Section 508 and considerable effort is being made to maximise harmonisation between their common requirements.

The long (and undoubtedly painful) process of formal approval of this standard is about to begin.
