Shagbark Hickory - ImprovedLarger nut than the wild types in the area. These nuts crack across the seam and can very often open into nearly perfect halves, like a tiny pecan but with MUCH more intense flavor!

Goji BerryStarted from seed, this fast growing shrub produced fresh fruit for us in it's second year in a greenhouse! Overwinters just fine in this region, in a greenhouse or just out in the garden with no protection. Produces both fruit and edible greens. Worthwhile plant to experiment growing out. There is a lot of genetic diversity in these seedlings, so fruit quality will vary, but all will make incredibly nutritious and worthwhile edible leaves.

Elderberry - Wild and Limited Avail. CultivarsWonderful medicinal shrub that is very happy to live with wet feet. We're trialing a number of cultivars now and will have named offerings for the 2015 season, but have a ton of the wild elderberries that reliably grow in some very challengingly muck and wet conditions.
