Lane Phase:Thresh is an aggressive "hard engage" laner who prioritizes bush control and defensive stats. With thresh's weak shield he does not win quick trade fights, use hooks (esp. from bushes) to engage. Get lots of pinks for bush control. Also use AA to harass weaker lanes. Nami is a reactive "defensive" laner. Don't play up to attack them, instead when they come to attack you land the easier Q and turn the trade with W, chasing them down after with E. Be very careful with Q because if you miss you are vulnerable.Lulu is a versatile laner, but she excels at playing the very aggressive, harass oriented, trade support. You should be in control of the lane. Use auto attacks, Q, and E-Q combo to constantly pressure them. This is great for punishing weaker laners, she is a bully.Elise's is a strong burst laner and is complemented by long range as well. I get bush control with her and the pink and threaten with my E, if it hits you can follow up with ranged Q and then dive in with spider form, and jump back to saftey with repel. One thing that makes Elise's lane amazing is that she has an escape - which no other support has. Kayle's lane phase can be played two ways. She can be really aggressive using her Q every wave and following it up with E auto attacks. Or you can be defensive, using your Q only when they go up to you guys, while sustaining trades with W. With these two playstyles you can max your Q or your W depending, if you are getting harassed go with the 2nd playstyle and max W, if they are weak and you are with a bully (like MF, Draven), max Q and be assertive. Another playstyle is you can use your E to push waves and keep them at their tower losing cs, this is good with a cait. Fiddle has a lane phase somewhat unique to any other support. He is very good in the 1-2 lvl range because his E is probably the best level 1 spell. However, in 3-4 he becomes weak, until he gets rank 3 fear which makes it last so long that his lane can start winning trades easily. Also post 6 you can get pink wards and start pressuring bushes with ult. To use E effectively pressure forward until they move back past the creeps then bounce it between them for maximum damage (or when the creeps are about to die).

TeamfightingThresh plays one of three teamfight roles. He can be initiator with hook. Or he can play protect the carry by standing near carry and getting CDR. Or he can be tank-disruptor by getting Tank items and going into center of fight. Nami is a great teamfighter with her tons of CC. Position far in the back away to abuse her wave range and then be in position to peel for the carry with q/w/e. Build CDR and CC items to facilitate this. Lulu is a versatile teamfighter as well. She can be a CC-bot, using Ult and E on tanks for massive knock ups and follow up slows, and using W on the enemy carries. She can also play more defensive using ult and shield on your carry and protecting with CC. Elise's teamfight is not as supporty as these other unorthadox supports. She is built more damage and doesn't have much utility, so you are more looking to do as much damage as possible, only using your stun to peel a tiny bit for your carries. If you build a few dmg items you should max W for decent teamfight dmg. If you didn't do well in lane and don't have items you can max E and get cdr and play protect-the-carry.Kayle's teamfight is based around 1 ability - ULTIMATE! Although she can still have some of the most fun teamfights as you feel so clutch with good ults. Since your teamfight is so much based around your ult, you should sit a little bit back at the begining, you dont want to have to use it on yourself (its basically wasted), and when you are far back you can observe the teamfight better - calculating who to ult and when. Try to use it on carries (ADC or APC), but if there is a tank in the center of them it can still be a good use. Also use your heal on escaping or chasing targets for the move speed boost, and Q to peel for ADC. Fiddle's teamfight is not what most people believe. You should not be ulting into the middle of them for damage unless you got really fed in lane and now have 2+ ap items. Instead, fiddle's teamfight is based around one of the highest cc's in the game and LOTS of cdr. Fear is SO GOOD at stopping assassins like Akali, Riven, Yi, etc. who blink into your team, you just fear them and they cant use their lifesteal/shield/etc. to survive, and will just die without doing anything. Use your ult as a glorified blink and save your E for when they are already in the fight and about to unleash their burst.

General TipsDon't use smartcast on E. Use pull-E after landing Q for extended disruption. Q can be used at close range for CC. Throwing lanterns to junglers = good ganks. Your Q/R both apply your passive as well, making wave great to cast on your team too. Cast W 1st on allies to heal 2 allies or 1st on enemies to dmg 2 enemies.Using Offensive E then Q immediately makes it very hard to dodge. You can use Q early then E 1-2 sec later and right before the E fades you can Q them again. USE W for sheep, its OP.You can use your Volatile Spiderling to check bushes without having to facecheck. Rappel is your best friend, you can bait 2v2 engagements (with them focusing you) in lane then just repel while your ADC kills them. Using ultimate earlier in fights rather than later can often absorb more damage. Support Fid's R can be used as just glorified blink, use it to escape over walls or to initiate a teamfight by landing a fear on a high priority target.

Thresh works best with tanky items to synergize with his passive and let him get into the fray and use his close-range abilities. Locket and Aegis work great with his team-shield W and his passive. Doran shield works great early to facilitate his aggressive lane phase. Nami's build is based around her teamfighting potential. She is a CC master so the ice shard is great for adding on that. Shurelia's strikes really well with her because she can use wave + shurelias to prompt an engagement (or follow-up someone elses engagement) from very far. Lulu's build is very customizable to the situation since she is so versatile. However, I really like the CC items with her, I really like Ice shard follow-up on her ultimate. And late game crucible is a must on any build for her because it works so well with the "saving power" of her ult/cc combos. Magic penn is great for Elise support because of her percent damage and low utility as a support. This is why I often get Sorc shoes over CDR boots. I get haunting guise as the 1st item after gp10/sightstone, but don't upgrade it to Liandry's until later. Tank is great for her and Rylais gives her more utility since she has only a tiny bit. Kayle is all about saving people, so you itemize not for dmg but for saving potential. Both Locket and Shurelia's can do this, I usually choose 1. From there Nashor's tooth can be a decent buy if teamfights are messy and let you AA, then Crucible is another great save item - perfect combo'd with your ult and heal. CDR is king on support fiddle. A 3 sec CC on a 6.6 sec CD? YES PLS. So, rushing Ionian boots is very strong. From there the move speed, mr, and catch potential from Twin shadows is great for him, and Zhonya's + Locket let you use his ult well enough in teamfights to get in there and get those clutch fears on the backline.

He pairs well with offensive ADs Especially ones who can handle themselves in tough lanesShe pairs well with people who can abuse her E. She can also protect the weaker carries like vayne.Due to her versatile nature she is good with almost anything. My favorite is with offensive-trade laners like Cait, Draven, Varus, etc. Elise is great with long range carries, the range threat from Cait + Elise is crazy. Also, more utility carries can work as she can bring the dps.Kayle as in the lane section above is versatile, but I like her paired best with "trading" ADCs. 1 Q + few hits of E + ADC's combo is usually a nice chunk of dmg.Fid is great with carries who just need a support who can set them up. Let a twitch or draven get free hits for 3 sec and the target is DED. Make sure your ADC can protect himself though, as Fid can't usually stop harass.

He counters no escape ADs and low range ADs.Tresh Q > Ez's blink and Thresh can tank ez's low dmg. Her heal can sustain the higher trading lanes, and shes good at countering the champs which have to run up to you leaving them open to counter-harassLow range ADs get owned by lulu's harass potential and pressure. Even if paired with something like soraka they will get run over if Lulu's AD is non-passive. She is great vs "vulnerable" lanes. She can use her bush presence to make it hard for them to farm and if an E hits, pounce. Janna can't really prevent her damage cause of Elise's range.Kayle is good against these "All-in" bot-laners, due to her ult and her kite potential with W. However you still usually have to be careful pre-6. Fid is god against AA centric ADCs. They try to be aggresive then fear --> exhaust --> fear and they cant even hit you for next 8 sec. (just don't lose too hard pre 5)

Vayne demolishes thresh by being able to dodge his skills and kite him. Nunu's BB allows them to dodge slow hook and kite thresh E/R. Cleanse > hook. People who can hard engage you without giving a chance to stop them is very dangerous for Nami as she is very squishy and her CC can be missed.People who can negate or avoid her harass makes lulu much less effective in lane, although they still might not "win" the lane.Elise needs to get ahead early cause she has a weak support mid-late. Against these type champs its very hard for her to get ahead, mostly only go even, leaving her at a disadvantageKayle gets destroyed by pokers as she has not much to stop them other than her heal. A Cait and/or Lulu can make her life (and her ADC's) a living hell.Leona can be your nightmare just cause you are so squishy. Also, Zyra/Varus are frustrating cause they can just disengage every time you go to fear or silence, leaving you useless.
