3	Grand Reserve Apartments	6214 Rockwell Dr NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402	Good	Expensive but nice and decent sized. Screened in balcony/patio and cat friendly. Excellent location if you work on the north side (especially at Rockwell Collins). Likes to raise rent.
4	Riverview Condos	400 1st St SE Cedar Rapids	Good	Above GTC (buses) so noisy if youre not used to city noise
5	Briarwood	254 Northpointe Dr NE, Cedar Rapids	Good	Dog friendly, great location
6	Wildwood apartments	931 old Marion rd	Fine	Window was broken by some kids, but quickly replaced. Parking is a little scarce. Snow sometimes plowed.
7	Continenal Terrace Apartments	255 38th St Dr SE	okay	Quiet, cat/dog friendly, different levels of niceness/cheapness, tons of box elder bugs, since covid they stopped spraying for bugs.they also like to charge you for every little thing when you move out, I.E. blinds if one bllind is broken they will charge you 75$. when you move in expect to clean as the cleaning ladies dont know what they are doing. (couldnt get the mold (and they put grout over it) out of the bathroom tiles but it took me like twenty mins) there is new management this year(2021) so expect prices to go up. matinence takes forever and the grass cutters break windows on a regular basis.
8	Grandridge Apartments	620 Ashton Place Cedar Rapids	Fine	Quiet, cat/dog friendly, no utilities built into rent, maintenance is quick 2019: Large rent hike between 2018-2019. Maintenance has been overwhelmed, particularly with regards to heavy snow. Acceptable, but not as good as it used to be (the 634 building also reeks of urine.)
9	The Pointe	42nd and Center Point, Cedar Rapids	Fine	Cat/Dog friendly, great location, fast maintenance, reasonably priced
10	Cedar Trail Village	125 E. Boyson Rd., Hiawatha, IA 52233	Fine	Good location if you work on the north side and good price for the size/location. Washer & dryer and garage included with every unit. Most have a good-sized balcony/patio. West row of buildings is near a trash business so can get smelly on that side but we live on the other side and don't notice it. It can be difficult to get maintenance to come out unless it's deemed an emergency/high priority. "High-Speed" wireless is avaialble, but runs at dial-up speeds.
11	Twixtown Apartments	[various numbers] Southview Drive, Marion, IA 52302	Fine	Older apartments, but in okay shape. All maintenance issues have been taken care of promptly. Some of the neighbors have been a little sketchy, but they've come and gone and the others neighbors have been fine. Heating is electric, so potential for high electric bills with a really cold winter.
13	Riverview Place (High Property Management)	3500 Edgewood Rd NE, Cedar Rapids 52402	Okay/Good	No major complaints or management problems. They do have some nice features/amenities and options sunch as shorter-term lease extensions, online rent pay & maintenance requests with decent response times, optional assigned underground parking, income-subsidized or market rate rent. Mix of retirees/older couples, young professionals, and minority/immigrant working families make up a friendly, diverse community. Balconies in the back of the building are nice and decently quiet, you can sometimes hear train downtown but not much traffic noise. Easy access to shopping, main roads, and freeway with manageable cross-town commute times. They may take a haircut from security deposit to cover cleaning. These units were built after the flood and are what you'd expect out of housing that went up quickly but your place isn't going to fall apart at the seams. Good for single young professionals just getting started and looking to not overpay for a place. In unit washer & dryer, controllable heating and AC, affordable utility costs.
