18							0	Ebony's hive was happy to live outside most of the war torn wastes of the pony lands. The only slice they carved out of the world was a brothel they used for collecting love from travelers and merchants to feed their meager numbers. By a chance of terrible luck they were discovered, and shock gave way to prejudice, which in turn gave way to violence as the Hive was put to the flame, their burrows torched, eggs popped and each reduced to little more than ash and cracked shells. All but Ebony who survived only by a slim chance, a beam from the buildings structure collapsed from the fire, burying the Changeling and hideing them from their attackers. When Ebony came to only to find corpses and ash was all that remained of their home, they left, wandered silently and empty of purpose. Shifting only to pass silently beside other travelers, growing hungry from lack of love, no longer able to fly, they became prey for raiders, captured in the form of a pink mare, their time was nearly at an end before they were saved a second time, this time a wasteland hero brought down the Raider, and offered a hoof in friendship. Slowly warming up to the kind stallion led the Changeling to eventually reveal their true form, and found acceptance and source of nourishment from their new traveling companion as well as their new name. They traveled for a time as prospecters and adventurers until an event caused them to be seperated, leading Ebony to their current predicament.
