It's incredibly hard and nearly impossible for the government to secure the internet. We should all be careful to make sure we do not share everything by the internet.

2/24/2014 9:13:04AgreeAgreeAgreeIndifferentAgreeAgreeThey could have some sort of privacy program in who hackers cannot hack. Although hackers always find a way around those programs. Really, there is no privacy in the internet, no matter how hard you try to protect it.There's really nothing they could do. Privacy doesn't exist in the internet. Yes because privacy is very important. You don't want the information to land in the wrong hands.I go on the internet a lot, and yes it's very helpful. But I don't feel safe when I'm in it. Anything could happen.

2/24/2014 9:42:52DisagreeStrongly agreeAgreeIndifferentIndifferentAgreeI don't think there is really a good way to defend yourself, but what I would say do is don't put anything too private on the internet. Try not to put it out in the world, or ask for any unnecessary information. Well I think they should prioritize it but what people should do and what they actually do are two different things. It's not important to me because I know how to stay.

2/25/2014 19:42:14Strongly agreeStrongly agreeStrongly disagreeStrongly disagreeStrongly agreeStrongly agreeCompanies should encode information, keep the information decentralized, and use HTTPS protocol for anything handling any information. Customers should what makes a good password, generate a different password for every website, and know who to trust on the Internet.see aboveYes, because online information is naturally more vulnerable than physical information. Anyone in the world could access or destroy valuable information on the Internet, but you need to be in a specific place to be able to, say, steal a credit card.We need better internet education, both for digital natives and adults. People of my generation (read:11-21 year olds) frequently do not understand the magnitude of what they are doing on the Internet. Adults often are unsure of how to properly harness the Internet, and do not know who to trust. Secondly, we need to remove the negative stigma surrounding the word "hacker". A hacker is not some malevolent Internet creature, preying on you and your family. We have another name for people like that. Criminals. A hacker is merely someone who is curious about the world around them, and how things work.

2/26/2014 10:46:55IndifferentStrongly agreeIndifferentIndifferentAgreeAgreeTry not to put too much personal information on the internet.More securely look over the information they receive from users.I think they should because if they don't hackers could get in and new users wouldn't trust the company.I feel like people need internet protection and both the companies and the users be careful about how they handle their personal information.
