6 | 11/25/2012 | 6 | Met with Andres again with the Southgate kids, took them out to identify variables in an experiment as well as how to use tools and count. |
7 | 12/2/2012 | 6 | Clean and cared for animals by myself with no need for assistance, cleaned a tank with bleach and sodium thiosulfate. |
8 | 12/9/2012 | 6 | Clean and cared for animals as usual. Did a plankton tow which involves towing a small net through a boat dock then spraying the net into a small pitcher that we used to examine small zooplankton under a microscope for the public. |

10 | 12/23/2012 | 6 | After AM feeding I went to the library to look at research on the jelly blooms that had a massive amount of data that had to do with my experiment. |

12 | 12/31/2012 | 3 | Started experiment, used a pipette to suck out polyps one by one until I had 75, then I got beach water and changed the acidity of it using a probe, chemistry, and 2M HCl. I then put the one polyp into one well on 3 trays all containing a different acidity of water, I then put them in a dark drawer because my research pointed out that polyps begin to strobilate when introduced to darkness. |
13 | 1/6/2013 | 6 | AM feeding. I checked up on my experiment and the data seems to be consistent with my hypothesis so far, but its much too soon to tell. PM feeding. |
14 | 1/27/2013 | 6 | Whale Fiesta Day a lot of public came over and learned a lot fromvarious booths. Cool blow up whale. Did normal rounds forfeeding and cleaning as well as a plankton tow. |
