Three Important Sources (referenced throughout presentation):1. Source and justification: Mentor Paul Yanes because he helped me throughout my whole projected and helped me explore my answers. As well as my other mentor David Wade who also aided me with how to present my project.

14
2. Source and justification: "The Soul of a Tree A Woodworkers Reflection" by George Nakashima because it showed me woodworking from a different perspective and helped me understand my best answer.
15
16
3. Source and justification: I subscribed to a maganzine called "Popular Woodworking Magazine" which really aided me through out this project because there where times when I hit a wall and was stuck and this magazine provided me with new research ideas and helped me find better research. It also had interesting articles about different woodworkers and designs.

Lesson Props:(Visuals must enhance learning experience for audience members.) I have examples of joinery, different finishes, and different types of material (wood) used in woodworking. I also may be able to provide pictures of furniture and things that I have done during the nine month process.Sponge Activity: (Maximum 5 minutes) 1. What is the activity: Asking the audience "What first comes to mind when you hear woodworking and why?"
2. How it will be done (materials included): By simply asking the audience members to allow them to start thinking of my topic.
3. How the activity relates to EQ: It related to the EQ because I am asking them to define a woodworking, and they must understand what woodworking before understanding my EQ.

(Describe the activity meant to reinforce this lesson, 12 min)
• What is the activity: Seeing how the material reacts to a change in temperature. You must understand the characteristics of wood. So the class will be taking out dents in the wood and come up with an scientific explanation as to why the dents disappear.
• How it will be done: By wetting the wood where ever there are dents and applying heat to it to remove the dents with a Iron.
• What materials will be used: Water, two rags, Iron, and two pieces wood.

(Describe the activity meant to reinforce this lesson, 10 min)
• What is the activity: Finding the right joinery that matches your half of the joinery.
• How it will be done: Each team will be given one piece of the joinery, one group member will get up and find the other half of the joinery that fits theirs. They will then talk about what they notice about that spacfic joinery.
• What materials will be used: Two pieces of wood, group members.

(Describe the activity meant to reinforce this lesson, 20 min)

Best Answer and JustificationAnswer 3 Materials because in woodworking, every woodworker takes the type of material they will be using for their furniture because it provides the color, texture, art, function, and the aesthetic part of your furniture. Compared to my other two answers, my answer three is the only answer that I find the most important because a furniture piece is displayed and judged by the appearance of its wood/ material choice. My third answer has proven to be both important to te aesthetics an dhe function of the furniture.

Most Important Source and JustificationMy most important soure was my mentor paul because he was able to provide my other two most significant sources and stuck with me the whole way from beginning to end and allowed me to explore my senior project on my own as suppose to doing everything for me. He really helped me and made me understand what I was doing and helped me discover all three of my answers and my best answer.
56
57
Product and JustificationMy product was being able to have better problem solving skills, being patient, and thinking outside the box better. I had to encounter many frusterating problems, the frusteration led to me doing my project wrong and having to start over which was a big problem when making your furniture. My mentor and my research helped me think like a woodworker and be patient when trying to find a way around a problem. Sometimes I had to make something in order to over come that problem and I feel that this experience will helped me later on in life, and that these new skills I have acquired as my product will benefit me in life.

Conclusion(Exiting the stage is just as important as entering it! How will you depart the stage?) My EQ was "What is most inportant for a woodworker to consider in creating an aesthetic piece of furniture?" and based on my answers (Finishig, Joinery, and Material) my best answer was Materials because it plays the biggest rol ein woodworking and contains the aesthetics of the furniture. WIth that being said, this is the end of my presenation, thank you for your time and I hope you enjoyed my presentation.
