Beings whose personalities/powers are based off stories. Their past memories are often forgotten; not all of them are aware that they are bound at all. Their story is their reality. It is very difficult to separate who a Persona used to be from their bound selves.Please add more notes here!

Darkness - NON-PERSONAMalleable. Has appeared as shadows, mosquitoes, black water, monsters and beasts, possessed corpses, voices & more recently Personae and stories/rhymes. Watch for garbled voices/text and numbing/petrifying effects upon close contact as surefire tells that you are dealing with Darkness.Always present in some form, in all realms.The enemy we are here to fight. Bound to this world by the Story; if it escapes it is free to consume all other worlds. It appears to be learning recently, trying to shape its own binding to mimic the Personae and coopt their powers.??? (Let's never find out.)-??? (Let's never find out.)Has mimicked/possessed Personae to run games. Games have invariably been painful, violent, and dangerous to fight -- but breakable, as its hold is imperfect. Let us hope this pattern continues, or that we can find a way to dissuade it from such actions.A complicated enemy that can affect the mind and emotions. Keys, bonds and emotions can all be used to fight the Darkness. Beauty and Maleficent keep those attacked by it in stasis in their Books (which it has tried to steal), and other Personae have protected heroes from it personally in their own realms. It seems to have evolved from realm to realm. When Darkness is destroyed, it has left crystal cores/seeds ('hope') that seem to do immense damage to it. It has been fought in any number of worlds with any number of methods; some are documented in other files. It is trapped in Aather, and is the force heroes are releasing the world from. All heroes and knights in Aather are here because they are beacons, attractors to the Darkness; but the process of losing their memories and regaining them again seems to strip them of that attraction.

Awoke in Camelot.Present in the Black Woods.Healing, support/protection, fire/light, princess, passivity (though this seems to have loosened over time.)Persona of the Forest. Large forest with castle, lake, cavern, cabins, etc. First realm heroes/knights stayed in. Rescued from Darkness permanently.Gains power from Sterling and from her sworn knights. Currently Shinji is her only sworn knight present in Aather(?)Former knights: Flynn was able to call Beauty anywhere; Kazuki/Blizzard could find anyone who called his name in distress. Grants glass keys to Sterling. Very powerful, especially when stepping outside passivity of defined role.Making things (food, books), constructed worlds, design of flora/fauna which appeared. May run games with Maleficent. Ran one highly fatal game but was less a game and more a desicion that had to be made re: saving the Forest from Darkness at the expense of lives. No dangerous games since.Head of Sterling, looks after Book containing those the Darkness has tried to take from Aather. Spends most of her time/power protecting Aather from Darkness. Has ability to send those in the Book home safely but endangers Aather & all inhabitants to do so. Sends out a "call" to attract those who act as beacons to the Darkness to Aather -- doesn't know why people meet certain teams/qualitiesl. Not adverse to trying to find other ways of combating Darkness. Able to physically change Sterling with relative ease as it is her place of power. Was another person before forced into Personae story role, has amnesia. Was waiting for Prince, past history with him and Maleficent. Has moved away from passivity over time; actively fights. The Story is anchored to her and her injury/death affects the stability of the world.

Baker (aka Miss Cake; The Witch)Elderly, burned woman. Originally appeared to be young & associated with/surrounded by food items.Present in the Black Woods.Eating; fulfilment; generosity(?)Cottage in woods. Food & cooking involved. Persona of the Black Woods (current realm.)-Food, food, food. Good if you want to quest for food, but the quests also tend to involve making/eating food.Food-centric. Makes you eat things of varying goodness/grossness, running around a world made of candy. Games have ranged from harmless fun to extremely dangerous; last game involved Darkness possession and injured heroes badly. However, said game destroyed the Darkness and also changed parameters of her role. Visible effect on her games will be noted here at a later date.Likes feeding people, likes all food. As mentioned, her story/role has been partially altered (which made her badly disoriented/ill) and then partly destroyed (was originally that of a witch who ate children and was burned to death.) "A baker who was locked in her own bakery and burned to death" has also been mentioned; may have been her origins before becoming a Persona? Associated changes TBA.

Third realm heroes stayed in; rescued from Darkness permanently.-Seems very flexible without a defined role. Is able to heal. Still learning what she does and does not want to do.Games formerly ranged from unpleasant to downright deadly, and centered on mistrusting/betraying others. Cry Wolf. Has had limited involvement in games since her role was broken but is suspected to be one of the Personae running a game where everyone became children.Before role was destroyed: hated everyone, punished others for attacking her/bending rules in games. Did not care about what is "right." Served the Queen of Hearts? After role was destroyed: very confused. See notes re: flexibility, versatility.In the previous role as Jabberwock, she considered self-preservation to be ideal, and considered self-sacrifice both foolish and selfish, as you'd be leaving the survivors to deal with the lost. That ideal of self-preservation also extended to ruthlessly protecting those you consider you own, (such as choosing to protect yourself and your team over another). Her games were often a test of how far 'heroics' could be pushed, and how far heroes are willing to go to protect themselves and their own team -- as well as how those actions are then justified. She also earnestly believed that the only difference between heroes and villains were whether or not their justifications were accepted by the majority, and her games were meant to reveal that.(--mini essay is unsigned, but you get no points guessing who wrote that.)

Darkness involved in the second, in a passive way. Well-intentioned Persona in general, seems unlikely to run harmful games.Seems to have been the Prince's dog. Said the heroes' memories need to be fetched back--you do not "lose things on purpose." Comes back from death. Dies a lot. Upsetting. Several heroes are in its realm. Being asked to do Persona things directly may confuse it, but it still seems capable of doing them.

Confirmed to be Maleficent's brother transformed into a Persona; previously one of the beacons that called Darkness upon Aather. The phrase "Where was the Thorn's Knight?" has appeared in his games; significant to his relationship with Maleficent, perhaps? Please interact with his heart in the library.

Presumably would be dangerous and involve fighting.Apparently the monsters we fight in her realm are her children conversely testing themselves againt heroes; they do not actually die. Runs tournaments.

FirebirdFire/bird/woman hybrid.Left the heroes' part of Aather in the Black Woods.Freedom. Fire, music, flight.Abandoned castle & hedge maze. Appears to have been largely dismantled by hero actions around her story/role. Maze still publicly accessible in Black Woods.Weiss/Crystal. Formerly Elliot, Mikage, Lloyd. Month-long patronages only.Quests involve exploration, crafts, and gathering feelings/memories. Can be called on for healing or complex quests such as releasing powerful bonds. Labour-intensive but very flexible. A powerful Persona.Varied -- puzzles, exploration, team interaction, choice. Has run the whole range (actual game-type games, unpleasant/unsettling, dangerous/murderous, though she was clearly unwilling to run the dangerous ones.)Dislikes: Water, bindings. Enjoys being pursued. Story had to do with a dark magician named Koschei, with a prince named Jacinth, and with testing the heroes with increasing severity which she fought against. Has been attacked/destabilized by Darkness but not possessed. Her last dangerous game was destroyed and the most negative part of her story/role was destroyed along with it. Not likely to run games in the foreseeable future as she is off travelling in search of her own answers. Some of her memories before she was a Persona were recovered: was a woman named Helena watching for the Darkness(?) for a kingdom, trapped in one location, apparently attacked by the Darkness before she was transformed into a Persona. Note: Giving her strength/support at the copper bowl in her maze will act as a minor healing quest.

CONCERNING: Artifact recently retrieved from the Darkness was a dagger hilt with the symbol of a ship's wheel. May have been taken by Darkness.

Romantically conflicted between Lancelot and Arthur, which apparently contributed to the kingdom's downfall. Seemed pleased with the men being told to man up and contemplate a progressive threesome.

Realm previously invaded by Darkness which devoured majority of inhabitants; ousting it and freezing the realm against further harm damaged her heart, which has gone missing and is beaing searched for by knights/heroes in her realm. Realm is safe, but has never healed. Entered emergency alliance with Camelot to protect Camelot from Darkness with her power, but conflicted with Camelot's Personae and heroes/knights due to role. Viewed freezing Camelot as the best means of protecting them; caused blizzards and an avalanche. Heroes/knights accompanied Gerda in a journey through the Icefields to her palace to petition her, and saw the devastation left by Darkness. Their efforts had an effect on the Persona, who agreed to lift winter and direct it to other realms as additional reinforcement against the Darkness; however, doing so required her to combat her role with the heroes' help. Second realm heroes stayed in; rescued from Darkness permanently.-Varied, depend somewhat on personality when approached. Can involve caretaking of/creation of items, somewhat difficult, but she is very powerful. Heals and revives.Wide range of games; depend on dominant personality at time of game. Have ranged from harmless strategy/numbers games to extreme physical harm/fatality. Always have to do with balancing but may be obscure how. Last game to date involved Darkness possession, but Darkness was destroyed.Rumors of being decapitated by heroes. Had six known personalties, but one was killed in her heart game, the only Persona heart game instigated by heroes to date - this may be related to her decapitation and destabilized her dangerously for some time. Familiar with the "rules of the world," has made changes to them more than once (though it has become extremely risky for her.) Can talk a little about roles if you time it right re: personalities? Will turn any attacks on herself back at you. "My balance is not weighted with blood, although death is a means to an end." -- said in a dream where she was "whole" to members of Jasper and Citrine after they died in her game. Has been fairly together since her realm was stabilized and she regained her head. Unknown why she chose to make the change in the rules of the world that prompted the Darkness's attack upon her.
