I also enable 480p in the game's video menu as well as I think it looks slightly crisper. I know it probably doesn't matter, but I could swear the game is even sharper, perhaps the game alters texture filtering or the front buffer or something else when set to its own 480p mode.

What I did: I made an ISO of the game, hex edited it for widescreen and disabled the grain filter, then patched it for ESR.

GSM .37 it looks much better and appears to be near perfect 16:9 as well.

Issues: The only issue is that the main menu of the game is in massive slow motion, but once past the main screen everything else is normal speed, even the sub-menus and other game screens. I have seen no difference in performance and the game looks very pretty, a good step above how the game shipped.
