Physiology

  • This course examines the structure and function of the human body over the course of an entire school year. Systems covered include the integumentary, muscular, skeletal, digestive, and nervous systems.

  • This class involves dissections of the chicken foot, sheep brain, cow eyeball, sheep heart, and a whole body dissection of a fetal pig.

MARINE BIOLOGY (Juniors/Seniors)

Are you interested in learning about the ocean and its inhabitants? Marine Biology covers the biology, ecology, chemistry, history and geology of the ocean and ocean-linked environments.

The Marine Biology class goes to Hyde St. Pier and Aquatic Park 1-2x/month during the block period for experiments and field studies. There are also several optional all day field trips.

This course explores physics through the language of calculus and algebra.

The course is designed for students interested in engineering or physical sciences, but open to anyone.

  • AP Physics C is equivalent to two semesters of a college calculus based physics course:
    • Fall Semester: Mechanics
    • Spring Semester: Electricity & Magnetism
