The W-9 form is used to update the information eXp Realty has on file for U.S. agents. Active agents can use this form to:
Before Submitting Your W-9 (for Legal Name Changes):
✅ Update your name with the Social Security Administration� ✅ Update your name with your Real Estate Commission(s)� ✅ Fill out the W-9 form using your new name� ✅ In the “Additional Information” section, include:� • Your current name on file with eXp� • Your current eXp email address
🔁 Once submitted, your eXp email and websites will be updated with your new name.
W-9 Request Checklist for eXp Agents
The W-9 form must match how you file your taxes. eXp uses it to report your earnings to the IRS and generate a 1099, unless your entity type is exempt.
