  • Contacting all software vendors to get confirmation their software does or will meet the Title II criteria by 4/26/2026.
  • EAS and ID will be reviewing ITS documents, videos, etc that live on TDX, the portal, etc.
  • Training started on 3/26/2026 for various topics regarding how to modify content to be accessible

  • Some areas with questions:
    • Who is going to monitor that content is meeting the Title II criteria? 
    • ITS can produce a list of all content that does not meet the Title II ADA regulations.  Who should this list go to?
    • Classrooms – handouts to students, handwritten documents videos shown in class, etc
      • This is not just a digital regulation. It also covers how materials are shared physically.
    • Adobe licenses to faculty can modify PDF’s, Do we need more ?
      • There are dozens of free PDF editors, but we will address this issue and make sure the faculty has the proper tool to accomplish the goal.

  • Built-in Accessibility Checker:
    • Scans HTML content
    • Checks headings, contrast, alt text, tables
    • Provides fix suggestions but does NOT block uploads
    • Limited to HTML (no PDFs, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Fully integrated into Brightspace
  • Assigns accessibility scores and provides remediation guidance
  • Alternative formats: HTML, audio, braille

  • Limitations:
    • Does not block uploads
    • Requires policy enforcement

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro: PDF remediation before upload
