We’ve learned so much in music this year! To finish off the school year, we’ll be singing songs, and playing instruments and games using these skills!�

• Kinder - steady beat, iconic rhythms, high/low, loud/soft, fast/slow, independent movement, partner folk dances, instrument families
• 1st Grade - steady beat, rhythm (quarter note, eighth notes, quarter rest)
• 2nd Grade - rhythm (half/whole notes & rests), solfege (dmsl), Orff instruments, round/canon
• 3rd Grade - rhythm (sixteenth notes), solfege (drmsl)
• 4th Grade - rhythm (eighth- two sixteenth, two sixteenth-eighth)

Happy May! During our last month of the school year, we will be doing lots of fun art activities to end the year. We will be introducing fiber studio next and trying out some weaving techniques!

We have had so much fun in PE this year! In 3rd and 4th grade we are finishing up FitnessGram testing. As the weather is nice we will get outside and play games as often as we can. Please remember to send your child to school in tennis shoes every day.
