Federal Funding & Budget Priorities

Title I, Title II, Title IV and ESSER

Currently, Title I funds are used to pay the salaries of our math tutors and reading specialist.

Title II funds are used to support Beginning Teachers, and non-certified teachers through the NC New Teacher Support Program (coaching, mentoring, and professional development)

Title IV funds are used for the middle school music program and to pay for the salary of our music teachers.

Please complete this short survey to provide your feedback on the use of these funds and to provide suggestions for the use of federal funds in the 2024-2025 school year.

Wellness & Health- Nurse Redmon

Happy New Year! We are starting the New Year off with a new wellness challenge. New Year Solutions Challenge. This will focus on SMART Goal Setting and is great for anyone at any point on their wellness journey! Our first Wellness Champ for week 1 is Katie Flandreau. Each week we will draw a new name from those who have participated in setting a SMART Goal and who have reflected each week on their Goal. Grand Prizes will be given at the end of he challenge.

A Grant Application was filed with the Ingles Corporate Giving Committee to assist with fresh fruits and vegetables. This will be reviewed at their next committee meeting.

Dental Health Month starts in February and we have some fun initiatives planned to promote good oral health. Along with Dental Month, February is also Heart Health month. We hope to incorporate some fun heart health activities for both staff and students.
