Box 3 - Post-Secondary Ready Competencies

Academic Honors or Technical Honors

Additional requirements for AHD: include 4th year of math, two AP Courses, Dual credit courses or 1 of each, 2 fine arts credits, and 3 years of one world language or 2 years of 2 different world languages. GPA 3.0 or higher and no grade lower than C-.

Additional requirements for THD: Complete 6 College credits in a career technical field, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and no grade lower than C-, complete additional requirements as outlined in course guide.

College Prep Test Benchmarks

Meet the ACT or SAT college ready Benchmarks

ACT: English - 18, Math - 22, Reading - 22

SAT: EBRW - 480, Math - 530

CTE Concentrator

Students must earn a C- (or better) average in 2-3 CTE courses in a designated pathway.

Shared CTE Courses outside of JGHS

  • See the course guide for a comprehensive listing of all the Shared CTE Courses offered at various locations: Plymouth HS, Knox High School, Knox SCILL Center, Plymouth Airport.
  • Most courses require that students are out of the building 3-4 class periods each day. Be sure you have all your required classes in your schedule. Limited bus transportation is available.

SUMMER SCHOOL�2024�

  • Only ONE Session in summer – June – Alg I (2nd sem), Alg II (2nd sem), classes to be made up if you failed any classes, elective classes in Edmentum.
  • To sign up for Summer School complete the 2024 Summer School Request Form)
  • You may take up 2 classes in Summer School (2 online or 1 in person & 1 online)- You must fill out a new survey for each class requested.

The counselors will be coming to English classes on January 22 and 23.�COURSE REQUESTS are DUE BY February 23, 2024

Course requests will be made through Harmony 4 year plans.

  1. Log into your online Harmony Account
  2. Scroll down and select “Update four year plan”

SENIORS to BE!!!!!!!

Check your progress to Graduation in your Four Year Plan:

  1. Check the diploma track to be sure it is accurate. If it needs to be changed, let your counselor know
  2. Check how many credits you have - you will need to have completed 45 for Core 40, 47 for AHD and THD BY MAY 2025.
  3. Check if you have all your required classes completed for your diploma track (yellow boxes indicate courses still to be taken).

  • Go to “Add More Classes”, check “Limit by grade”, then select grade 12. Next, find classes through the drop down menu called “Choose course”.
  • Some classes are individual semesters (Term 1 or Term 2). Some classes may be either semester (Any Term)
  • Select any full year class and check both Term 1 and Term 2.
  • Select your 1 semester U.S. Government/Economics classes under “Any Term”)
  • After you’ve selected the course and terms, click on “Add Class”

6. Add a math class if you are finishing your math (All Year)

7. Add a science class for your 3rd year of science if needed

8. Add any other classes that you need to graduate, but haven’t completed or passed. Credit Recovery would also be an option for completing failed classes.

IMPORTANT STEP: When you want to exit, SAVE your courses; a FULL schedule is 7 classes.

Schedules are run in the summer and will be available to review in August 2024 prior to the start of the school year.

After the February 23 deadline, the 4 year plans will no longer be available for changes. If a change is desired, you will have to contact your school counselor.
