Global health is crucial for Americans in both professional and academic fields. This includes medical professionals, trainees, and those without medical backgrounds who volunteer in underserved areas. Graduate students and medical practitioners also conduct research in regions with healthcare resource challenges. However, these efforts raise ethical questions and concerns that may have unforeseen consequences.
