Welcome back to school!!! I am so happy to see all your children’s faces this year!!! Personally, I am glad the kids are back so I can share my favorite books with them again!!!
Starting off our year has been going terrific! I have gotten everyone in 1-5th grades onto our BCSD Library website and they have been exploring the Choice Boards on there. It is so fun to see the kids navigate through the Choice Boards on their own and go where their interests take them. This week they found out they can access them at home as well and I promised I would share the link with the grown-ups in my newsletter! On the main page is a Choice Board link…there are a variety of activities that your students can interact with on the Choice Boards and I change them each month. Your kids will love them!!!
We are going to be doing a lot of work online this year, so my first priority is to make sure your kids know how to be safe!! Feel free to talk with your child at home about internet safety….if you are looking for resources, contact me!

I am currently doing an AWESOME book study on a book titled Developing Digital Detectives. We are having some fascinating discussions about how to teach children about the emotional triggers that news AND social media sites use to increase engagement.
