• BMP Inspections are conducted regularly to maintain proper drainage to prevent flooding

• Chapter member of Virginia Green
• York County aims to champion sustainable living and environmental initiatives within its community, while also offering ecofriendly options to tourists.

• Riverwalk Landing Piers is a member of the Virginia Clean Marina Program
• Restaurants are required to use sustainable straws or no straws at all. 
• Sidewalks and bikeways/Battlefield roads encourage travelers to ride around town rather than drive vehicles.
• McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC) has implemented the Share the Air Program

• The County continues to change out light pole heads at the waterfront up to Ballard St with all LED fixtures.  This conversion uses 1/3 of the electricity of the previous ones

County created maps using LIDAR technology, which allows us to identify roads that sit lower than the surrounding areas.

DPW worked closely with Emergency Response personnel familiar with the Seaford area to confirm which roads typically flood during heavy rains or extreme high tides.
