Materials:
-Ipads or other device
-Minnesota sheet
-poster paper
-crayons/markers
-pencil
Whole group:
On Epic!, you can create collections of topics you are studying. Start by going onto Epic! and creating a collection of books about Minnesota. Then you can choose to go through the books whole group, in small groups or individually to learn all students can about Minnesota. While students are reading they can fill out a study of Minnesota sheet, work together to make a poster with Minnesota’s best features or create a presentation on facts about Minnesota.
Closure:
Minnesota sheet- come together as a class and discuss what students found out about Minnesota
Poster- have groups present their posters to the rest of the class
