Twitch???

Twitch is a live streaming platform that allows gaming fans to watch their favorite gamers play a variety of online video games.

There are many millions of viewers, as well as streamers. To stand out, streamers often times will commission art, emotes, and brand identity creation from artists.

Emotes

Emotes are used alongside text in chat sections of many live streaming platforms. Think of them as fancier emojies!

Each live streamer can have channel specific emotes that are available to their subscribers, so they often pay to have custom emotes made.

Sub badges distiguish subscribers in the chat. Because it costs money to be a subscriber, streamers want quality and fun badges.

These followed the color scheme, with a few added colors for variation, as well as carried over the logo.

My process

After getting the ok, I go over the sketch with clean lines then fill in with color.

First contact

A client will request a commission by private messaging me on Twitter, or filling out the commission form on my website.

I will request they give me as much detail and references as they can, so we are on same page.

I will then create a sketch based on their requests and reference pictures.

The emotes created can be used in Twitch, Youtube, or Discord chats. These emotes can also be used for Profile pictures.
