(or vice versa)

Teaching you what decimals and fractions are part
1. What is a fraction?
A fraction is a type of number that has a top and a bottom.
A fraction looks like this in numbers: ½ . That meant one half.
This is what one half looks like in a picture.

This is NOT a half circle.
2. What is a decimal?
A decimal is a number that I can’t really explain to you without adding people in.
Well, here we go. If you had one farmer, and a robot lasered him in half, you would have ½ of a farmer. But in decimal numbers, he would be 0.5. You may be asking me “Why is it so?” so I will tell you. 5+5=10, right? This is even lower. 0.5+0.5=1. This is the same as ½ + ½ = 1.
Fun fact #1: Half of 0.5 is 0.25.
Fun fact #2: 0.5 can be made into 0.50000000, and it will not affect the value.

This is 3/4 of a moustache. How much in decimals?
To find the decimal, divide the top by the bottom. 3÷4=0.75. Here is what the long division looks like (roughly).
