BUILD A FORT
Design and construct a fort that you will use for your class Google Meet on Friday.
Follow this Engineering design process to help you complete this task.
1. ASK QUESTIONS - What design can I build? Where in my house can I build it?
2. IMAGINE IT - Brainstorm your ideas. Pick the best one.
3. PLAN IT - Make a list of materials. Draw a diagram with labels.
4. CREATE IT - Follow your plan. Create your design.
5. IMPROVE IT - Did it work? Can I make it better? What could be done
differently? Will I change it?
6. SHARE IT - What do others think? What changes need to be made?

Design/Brainstorm Board - on this slide add different images and photos of your sketches and drawings that reflect your ideas and design. Look at the next slide for ideas. Choose your design. Use your art book or maths book. Take photos.

3. PLAN IT: Make a list below of the different materials you will need to make your fort. Check with your parents where the best place will be to build it.
Draw a diagram of your design and label it. You can do this in your Maths book or Art book and then add a photo of it to this slide.
THURSDAY
4. CONSTRUCTION DAY: Follow your design and plan to build your fort.
On this slide you can add photos taken during the building process.
Once constructed, measure the floor area of your fort. Write the measurements of each side and add them to your diagram.
