Grammatical structure | Nouns (countable and uncountable) |
Usage | A countable noun is anything that can be counted. An uncountable noun is something that cannot have a plural ‘s’ added such as water, milk and food. |
Other examples | At the market, I bought lots of apples. There are lots of books on the bookshelf. There is milk in the fridge. |

Usage | Plural nouns are words used to show more than one person, animal, thing, or idea. To make most nouns plural we add an –s on the end. Some words have different endings (-es, -ies, -ves). |
