Have you ever heard Hidden River described

as a “Title I School”?

  • 56 schools in SPPS receive federal funds to increase student achievement.

  • This money is based on the Application for Educational Benefits (the form we ask you to fill out each year) and qualification for SNAP benefits.

  • These extra dollars help us provide a high quality education for all students, regardless of family income.

No longer required for free school meals but still important for our school!

Hidden River Middle School uses our Title 1 Funds to fund people!

  • Nell Binford - 6th Grade Intervention Specialist
  • Barbie Woodruff - 6th/7th Grade Guidance Counselor
  • Anne Kent - Social Worker

They work to help us achieve the goals set forth in our

SCIP (School Continuous Improvement Plan) around

positive culture and climate, math and reading.
