How are applications scored?

Applications are scored according to 4 criteria*:

1. Attendance

2. Discipline

3. GPA (grade point average)

4. Student statement

How are magnet students selected?

  • Applications are ranked by score for the round in which they are submitted.
  • Siblings are given priority.
  • Remaining slots are filled beginning with highest qualifying scores.
  • If multiple applicants have the same score, they are ordered randomly by computer lottery.
  • All qualified students from round 1 are offered slots before any students from subsequent rounds.

Is Transportation Available?

Yes: Greenville County Schools offers magnet bus transportation. You may indicate transportation needs when completing the application.

At the time of enrollment, you will complete a separate transportation form and submit it to the Magnet Coordinator.
