What is robotic-assisted surgery?

Robotic-assisted surgery allows your surgeon to precisely perform complex and delicate procedures through small incisions in your body using miniaturized instruments. The surgeon controls these instruments from a nearby computer console using a high-definition 3D camera to see inside your body. The camera can magnify the operating field to provide your surgeon much more detail than the human eye alone can detect.

Benefits of robotic-assisted surgery?

  • Coupled with the expertise of your surgeon, robotic technology results in advanced precision. The miniature instruments used in robotic-assisted surgery move like a human hand but offer more dexterity, stability and range of motion.
  • As a result, you can benefit from:
  • Faster recovery
  • Less pain
  • Reduced scarring
  • Less risk of infection
  • Reduced blood loss
