Importance Attendance Procedures for Spring Semester 2022

Along with required DOE Attendance Sheets, HSFI faculty will take JupIter attendance every period, everyday.

Why?- The Attendance Office needs attendance data in real time to send out daily phone calls to families about the following:

  • Students absent for the day
  • Students that arrive late
  • Students cutting class

Jupiter Attendance

If we make a concerted effort to take accurate attendance, especially in Jupiter, we can counteract the trend of students entering the building, but not going to class and those arriving late.

The delay of ATS attendance minimizes the impact of HSFI outreach efforts about student attendance to families.

The bottom line is that we need everyone to take ACCURATE ATTENDANCE in Jupiter, EVERY DAY and EVERY PERIOD.

Attendance Procedures for Trips

If you plan to take students on trips, you will need to turn in your roster to Danielle Silva in the Main Office, Room 125, two days before the trip takes place.

A trip blue sheet will be generated the morning of your trip.

You are required to take attendance and submit your trip blue sheet to the Main Office before you leave with students for your destination.

This trip blue sheet also counteracts students being marked absent during period 3 from their regularly scheduled class.

Moving Forward…..

Teachers will only receive one set of white sheets for the week and a daily third period attendance sheet.

To gather ATS data, teachers will hand in white sheets every Tuesday and Friday at the end of the school day. Please do not hand in morning time. You will not receive your attendance sheets in time for class.

**Please note that the week of program changes, February 7-11, teachers will receive new white sheets everyday.
