Math Topic #1: Area

If there was a box and it was 12in. On one side and 8in. On the other side you multiply 12 x 8 = and that is your answer make sure you always say square feet after answering.

Example: 2 x 10 = 20 square feet.

Example: 75 x 1 = 75 square feet.

Example: 2 x 4 = 8 square feet.

Math Topic #2: Dream Vacation Project

First, you pick a location out of 8 locations then you get to pick a person to go with you any person. You have to pick a rental car to use and a plane flight. You have three activities to go on that you get to choose the activities. And you get an hotel you also have to pay for food for three days because you are staying there for three nights. You only have $2,500 to spend.

Reading Topic #1: Read Aloud

In third grade you will do something called read aloud were your teacher picks a book and and she reads it to you at the end of the day to you after math. The book the teacher usually picks are chapter books. And if you have mrs. Mathews after you finish the book you will get to watch the movie after.

Reading Topic #2: Wonder Balls

In third grade you will do something called a wonder ball. A wonder ball is a 3d circle that you will make. You will have twelve circles and you have a activity sheet it has 18 activities and you get to pick twelve of those activities for your twelve circles you put your twelve activities on your twelve circles. Then we make it into a ball.

Science Topic #1: Rocks

In third grade you will spend some time on rocks. Rocks are very cool. Some rocks have crystals in them and some don't but you can always make some things with rocks. Rocks are different sizes some are big and some are small. What I really liked about rock is I learned that rocks can be made from dead animals and plants.

Science Topic #2: Adaptations

In third grade you will learn about are adaptations and animals adaptations it is really fun. Animals have really cool adaptations.

Example: Fur, Paws, legs, teeth, but they do not have arms.

We do not have as cool adaptations but we have some.

Example: Arms, legs, teeth, face, head, fingers, stomach.

See we have cool adaptations too.

Writing Top # 1 Plays

In third grade you will wright a play on tradisional Litcher you will pick a book and add a little twist to it to make it your story that you came up with. After you finish making and typing your play you will pick some people to act out your play in front of your class.

Writing Topic #2: Wax Museum Speech

In third grade you will do the wax museum and you need to prepare a speech when you do it. So that you will not get a bad grade in writing you will have a lot of fun as you do it because it is fun. You might be a little scared at first but once you do it a couple of times you won’t be scared anymore.

Social Studies Topic #1: Findlay Project

In third grade you will do something called a findlay project. You will cut and color a pig that you will take with you to some cincinnati places or stores you take a picture with it and send it to Miss. Hoffman and research that place and make it into a slideshow and send that to Miss.Hoffman too. You need at least 3 pictures to send to Miss. Hoffman.

Social Studies Topic #2: Bicentennial Commons

In third grade you will go on a field trip at the end of the year. You will go to a park called Bicentennial Commons and do a big scavenger hunt with your group and if you get over 90% you will get no homework for the rest of the year it is amazing I love it and I am guessing you will too.

Favorite 3rd Grade Memory #1: play

In third grade you will do another play. I really liked the play there is always going to be a different play every year I hope you will like it too. It was so fun. Also you will practice more in third grade than in second.

Favorite 3rd Grade Memory #2: Prodigy

In third grade you will do something called prodigy it is a math game that you will do on the computer it gets harder and harder as you go. You have to solve math problems to get pets and prizes and a better character to add more things on to him\ her.
