Mrs. Carol Jo Taylor

Hi! I am so excited to also be your teacher this school year along with Mrs. Perkins. This will be my 24th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten through 5th grade either as a classroom teacher or a media specialist in Hardin, Kenton, and Campbell Counties. I came to Owen County 7 years ago as the media specialist here at the middle school. I am SO excited about working with Mrs. Perkins and you this year with our new library furniture as we learn about many things including STEAM!

Vision

The STEAM Lab is designed to provide extended learning experiences for students in K-8th grade in Owen County. This educational enhancement opportunity provides gifted and high-ability learners a day of enrichment, outside of their regular classroom setting, with peers of similar ability. The mission is to focus on academic enrichment while fostering students’ creativity, critical thinking and leadership skills. Students will be engaged in challenging project-based learning opportunities integrating science, social studies, technology, engineering, the arts, literacy, and math.
